I'd say they were a mix of the two. Jerry Cantrell is certainly very much a classic metal guitar hero but the overall sound owed a fair bit to the Seattle sound.

They were brilliant however you want to call them, though!

Went to my first festival Féile 94 giving me a life long love of festivals. Crash Test Dummies, Bjork, The Prodigy, House of Pain and Rage against the Machine headlined. Went back to Féile last year it's a tad too civilised for me having a procescco bar instead of sneaking in a bag of cans. So I felt duly obliged to put two hip flasks in my bra.

"Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura, and The Mask. Good year for Jim Carrey.

What stands out for me, i was 8 and gathered a load of acorns in the local woods and planted them behind the house. Now they are fully grown and taller than the parents house.

Those trees are nearly the same age as me Gary
