As long as it’s dunkable. But not the consistency that if you dunk it in it immediately goes southwards. Or the sort that no matter how long it’s immersed, it never gets to the right texture . I actually like plain digestive or malted milk with a cuppa

OK... I need to put you all straight on this one once and for all!!

Take one penguin... The most unappetising bland bar ever to grace the shelves.. Bite a top corner off now bite the opposite lower corner off... Dip lower corner in hot tea and suck gently

Now bite into penguin and voila... Hard tasteless biscuit bar turns into warm liquid chocolate treat!!!

Yes, that I can handle... Buttered toast in my tea is a different matter though.

I heard of a fella who used to dip sausages in his tea years ago. I have no idea what that would do to the sausage but I can imagine the fat floating on top of the tea.... Dear god!

Yup. It only sounds nuts because people normally associate cheesecake with sweetness, but butter, cheese, cream, bacon, are all things that are used all the time in savoury cooking. Replace the biscuit base with a toast crumb one, make an unsweetened cheesecake mix, season it with black pepper, layer it with strips of cooked smoky bacon and leave it in the fridge overnight so the cream in the cheesecake mix absorbs all the savoury flavours and loses its own natural sweetness, and you've got an unusual but very tasty treat to serve up I use it as a starter with a little rocket and red onion marmalade on the side. Small wedges. It's pretty unhealthy, but as a rare treat... Yummmmmm

I tend to cook/bake by trial and error, but I'll pm you some guidelines when I can. I've just got a temporary messaging ban... Think I misplaced a full stop somewhere and the spelling bot thought I was trying to send a Web address

Just polished off 4 buttered Marietta and a bucket of rosie
