When I look at my local updates it's mostly men posting status messages

Some are positively entertaining... Its like a soap opera. I'm currently simply agog waiting to see which (if any) of the 5 men who verified one local newbie in the past 2 months is the father of her 'spawn' (as her fb called it in a recent status update). What a time to be alive!!

I love the status updates. It’s like Daily Mail/Take A Break click bait/headlines especially the whining ones. Also the fun ones can help form the basis of an opening gambit. Sure it’s all good fun

Depends on both your own filter and preference settings and other people's settings as to who you see in your updates... You don't see everyone.
