Would it work in Ireland? Would mainstream Irish society be too outraged or do we not give 'vanilla folk' enough credit?

It barely works in the uk. The papers there still do exposé on it. The likes of the Sunday world would jizz their pants if there was one here.

Think it's been a few years since they last did. With swinging Clubs open every day in most UK cities now, the press and public have tired of dreaming up swinger myths, and unless an A-list celebrity is exposed swinging, its just not newsworthy.

As for the tabloids jizzing themselves.. Advertising revenue might give them pause

There’s been weekend events in castles etc with board included, not as big numbers as springfields though without outrage, so if it was done properly don’t see why not. Not sure there’s a market for it here numbers wise.

Don't know if it was cancelled, but it has featured in the media. Think the Daily Star called it a 'secret sex-fest'. Which, considering its a publicly advertised and promoted event, is stretching the word secret beyond its limits. But that's tabloid journalism for you

The Bliss Festival held in county Cork a few years ago caused quite a stir, Mia Dunphy did a program on it which was hilarious. Based on reaction to that can't see a swingfields gaining traction here unless it was a fringe event to the ploughing perhaps!

I met a guy who’s picture ended up in one of rags after swingfields. It’s a pity it sounds like it would be a great weekend

Swingfields is still going strong, we are in our 6th year. Yes we had media interest in the past but last year was fine. Guess there will always be an interest as long as they think gratuitous sex is going on
