Why are people, men in particular so squeamish about them?

I don’t really understand either, it’s a natural bodily function so it shouldn’t be off putting or embarrassing for anyone!

I used be OK having sex with a woman while she was having a period. And then something changed in me. I'm not sure what is is, but it's associated with the smell of blood. Not so much the sight of it. It's a complete turnoff now.

Yes, I find the smell of blood revolting myself. It's a natural instinct to be repelled by it I would imagine.

It's just messy, smelly and dirty in general. It's not a big deal to repel from action until her period surpasses.

"Why are people, men in particular so squeamish about them?"

My experience has been the lady is more embarrassed or hates it. That's also understandable here on Fab when you're playing with strangers. It's different if its a partner.

Youre also meeting single men, little experience of what's involved.

Another thing to consider is being blood, there's a much higher risk of infections being passed.

For me the woman is much much more horny then.

Never understood why people are funny about period blood myself. I don’t see what the problem is apart from messy sheets.

Leakage from anal play would be something I could understand being squeamish about though!

Many people don't like blood, period or otherwise, its not so surprising when you consider that it's usually an indication of injury. Also a woman's smell is more attractive to a male when she is ovulating, nature isn't going to provide an incentive for men to have sex with a woman who is unlikely to get pregnant while menstruating.

Either which way, surely everyone is entitled to have preferences?

I don’t “love” or “look forward to” them but that’s very different to being grossed out or disgusted by them, which can have real societal impacts (girls being ashamed etc so avoiding activities etc.). I get why strangers mightn’t want to play while the woman has her period, I suppose I was speaking more generally. You know they aren’t smelly or dirty, anymore than if someone doesn’t wash generally, eg BO etc.

I think that attitude tends to come from the home tbh, if parents behave as if they are something to be kept a secret, then children will see them as shameful.

during the period the woman is very sensitive, at first they do not want to and then they do not want it to end. My experience disgusts them at first and then they lose their modesty, they become very excited. It takes a lot of confidence to do it maintain hygiene, taking the showers that are necessary

Honestly it just disgusts me. I have no reason for it other than it's just one of those things that makes me uncomfortable.

In my head it's no different than pooing or peeing. They're natural body functions too, but I don't want to know, or see when you're having one.

I quite liked sex during my period. Not the first day when I felt bad, but the next few days. I was exceptionally tender & my horny level was through the roof.

I liked the blood smears & a man who wasn't squeamish about it, turned me on.

Saying that, I don't miss having a period now.

I've 4. Eldest still suffers badly, pain so much she has pas*ed out with it on occasions. One is not too too bad the other two very bad. Eldest has been slowly getting to a place where medical profession after 8 yrs of treatments is realising it's not normal and recently had special tests which showed abnormal hormone levels and after a scan shows its due to pressure on a gland in her head. She had a special Coil fitted which is helping while her levels are being monitored. We suspected endometriosis many years ago but here in the UK, it takes at least 6 yrs waiting to diagnose. She had more progress in 6 months in Australia than all her time here in the UK. It does help when you have a good gynaecologist.
