" I think it's not that they're not allowed, it's just that single males often don't turn up, even when they have managed to secure an invite to a club or social. I've attended events in Dublin where only 2 or 3 single males out of 30 or 40 invited actually showed up. Invites for club nights and events are usually balanced, but you can't control who decides not to show. | |||

Theres loads of single men profiles on here but fuck all that actually have the bottle to go to events on their own and to be honest i dont blame them. I wouldn’t do it if i was single.

I'm single and did go to the school night all on my own but found it awkward as mainly couples however I still had a brilliant time as didn't just sit in the corner, I mingled to an acceptable degree. I went to a singles social in athlone recently and I loved it knowing everyone was approachable. It's definitely a great idea" I have been as well but find it mainly cpls not that many guys and in forums it seams all single male places full. If they don’t turn up why not double the allowance Ha as the saying goes it’s better to be looking at it rather than it ha cock wise ?? | |||

We check how many cpls we have on list who play with single guys, we then check how many single girls we have and then work how many single guys we will invite and add about 5 as we know a few tend to not turn up. I understand the point of some girls saying they want 2 to 1 so they have a choice however on normal nights a lot of cpls arent comfortable with a lot of single guys and then realistically how many guys is each girl going to play with?? The others are just left hanging around. That works for greedy girls nights but not for standard night. It is also trying to get the right guys. Some guys are great on one on one meets however are not used to the club / group scene. This why we are trying to organise nights to suit everyone. We are always open to suggestions and if some girls ever want to organise a greedy girls night we are more than open to discussion. " | |||

What about all the single lads from Dublin?" Also, you don't have to drink or stay. Obviously if you live far away, yeah. But it's entirely possible to drive there, pay your entry and drive home. You don't have to spend a fortune to attend if you really want to go. | |||

Was very nervous and you just have to be brave and walk up to people and introduce yourself. Pre drinks is a great ice breaker. Hope to attend a singles night next time but not 29th. Set up and organising is excellent and obviously a tried and tested formula.... they are also open to improvements. End of the day.... get an invite and turn up. Especially first time. Won’t regret it as an experience | |||
