I would suggest adding a profile picture and more than 3 words to your profile. That's a lot more offputting than age in my opinion.

If you'd like some profile advice OP I'd be happy to help.

You have to specifically ask for it these days though as us helpful folk can get forum holidays for giving unsolicited advice regarding profiles or commenting on profile content

Depends on who you talking to, fab is just a mirror if life, some people want older some want younger... both will think the grass is greener on the other side... just be comfortable with where you are.... you cannot change it

If othrrs still want to meet them, no problem. For me though it would be a no. If I met someone, even at a social, and they had clearly lied about their age, that would put me off... and I haven't met anyone yet who actually does look 10-15 years younger, despite what they themselves might think or others might tell them. If I ever felt I had to lie about anything (age, height, body-type, sexuality, status, etc.,) in order to fool someone into chatting to or meeting me, it would definitely be time to quit, as I'd know I'd already given up on myself, never mind anyone else

Can I ask how you felt about being lied to? Did it affect how you felt about your meets or did you wonder about what else they were lying about? Or did you just shrug it off and think 'oh well, they're here now anyway' and see it almost as an act of charity, but then avoid ever meeting them again?

I don't think it's your age that's the problem. You could be half the age you are and you will still struggle to get meets with that profile.

You get out of Fab what you put into it and a three line profile is not going to have your inbox overflowing. So put some effort into your profile and put some more pictures to public.

Maybe try attending a social to get a more recent verify your last one was 2017. That's going to put some people off.

If others still want to meet them, no problem. For me though it would be a no. Each on their own as usual. For me if I'm attracted to the person I don't mind if they have some years more on their shoulders than stated on their profile. Sure most try to portray themselves on here from their best side. If you look at photos can be far more deceptive than age stated yet it isn't perceived as lying.

Funny thing is when you're not too uptight with those things they normally come clear with those things before you meet them.
