What song gives you goosebumps?

I don't mean the awesome books from our childhood or the awful film from our adulthood but the song that makes you go "Yeah that gets me everytime. I'll be feeling that tomorrow".

I'll start with a few of the top of my head.

Hurt - the Johnny Cash version (video for that song gets me every single time)

The Power Of Love - Frankie Goes To Hollywood (First song I heard after my daughter who was born. Reminds me everytime of the first time I ever held her in my arms).

Maybe Tomorrow - Terry Bush (The theme from the TV show The Littlest Hobo).

The Sound Of Silence - Disturbed (The voice, the melody, the words, all perfect).

Iris . The Goo Goo Dolls.

I just love it.

Nights in white satin. Moody Blues.

Reminds me of days of old.

Can't help falling in love with you. ELVIS.

Reminds me of my Dad.

Iris - Goo Goo Dolls because first time I heard it was at a friend's funeral, as coffin was being carried out.

Pearl Jam - Black because the way Eddie sings - "I know someday you'll have a beautiful life

I know you'll be a star in somebody else's sky, but why

Why, why can't it be, why can't it be mine?

Ooh why, ooh"

On a particular early bootleg recording I have, though the MTV Unplugged version is also amazing - https://youtu.be/xu85_WHGd0w

3:55 for the ADD crowd

Glen Hansard and Mick Flannery also get me with so much of their stuff.

AC/DC pretty much anything Bon Scott sang but particularly the Powerage album

I must also call out a band called Shanty Dam that used to play an unreal version of The Lonesome Boatman in the Mean Fiddler in London on a Sunday morning. Oh talk about making you want to come home!! Brilliant!

I think another one for me is This Town by Niall Horan. Can't listen to this song without my eyes welling and smiling at the same time.

My late partner loved that song. Saw it live in concert together and I used to sing it to her every time I had a few drinks. She wanted it to be first dance at our wedding and now the lyrics apply even more so.

Totally!

Always wanted see them and finally got to their Point Depot gig last November ish

Oh F me!

It was one of the best gigs ever, without being euphoric, if you know what I mean. They were just so there, in the moment, feeding off the crowd, amazing. Then they did the acoustic bit up front in the middle of the audience. I almost lost it! Just unbelievable!

Never forget that one and I'll definitely be at almost all gigs they do in Ireland in future
