A lot of people lie about their real age on Fab, some of them by a lot of years.

It makes it ridiculous and sometimes embarrassing when you meet them face to face.

Age is just a state of mind, of course, but still

I always wonder, how can some people here, shave off 10 or 15 years at least of their real age, when the reality shows otherwise!?

I'd say most do it to get passed filters, shaving a year or two off is OK but abit silly to change age by 15 years and think you can get away with it

I agree as we don’t understand as you shall know when you meet them.

I publish my real age, but I rarely act it, in my head I'm at least 20 yrs younger...but as I find this an ageist site, anything over 50 is a problem for meets

We’ve our real ages down. It was hard enough back as a teenager lying about my age to get into nite clubs. Can’t be dealing with trying to remember a false birthday again! That said in my head I’m 28 and I’m always stunned when I look in the mirror and I see who’s looking back

I had one guy texting me who kept going on about how we were the same age, grew up listening to the same bands, etc, he even listed a few. Well when he sent face pic he was at least 15 to 20 years older than me.

What was the point the truth will be obvious eventually.

I was going to say that there are always photos with which you could check the age profile, but I realize that this too can be doctored. I suppose you just have to hope that the people you meet are honest. If not, well you can always walk away. This would probably be the best course of action, and a lesson for the liars.
