Have to admit I haven't delved into the newer stuff as the 90s and 00s Country Music put me right off.

However, from time to time I come across some decent stuff on YouTube but forget to take note of who they are.

I really should jump in and check it out.

Planning a trip over myself next year.

I want at least 3 weeks though as I want to do a few of the southern states.

Austin, Texas is supposed to be THE place for live music the last few years.

Guys - with respect - lighten up a little. He didnt trash the music, didnt insult it, didnt say anything derogatory. Simply expressed a harmless personal opinion. The emoji possibly wasnt called for but maybe depicted his depth of feeling.

Many threads on the forum similarly get very diverse opinions.

Couldn’t give a toss about his opinion, he’s every right to have one, it doesn’t bother me.

Yeah, just simply saying it's not for me.

Others don't like some of the music I do but that's the great thing about music, there's something for everyone.

Off to listen to some Woody Guthrie

Not sure if it's related but recently saw the new version of A Star is Born. I think the original was kinda Country style but I have to say I liked the music Bradley Cooper character was playing. Great guitar and singing but, to me, he was channelling Eddie Vedder and Jeff Bridges.

I liked it anyway

Nearby

Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Jim Reeves, Johnny Cash. I grew up listening to them with my parents. Still love them all today.

Garth Brooks, George Strait, Shania Twain, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Alan Jackson are among my favourite singers now

Love classic American Country. An artist that doesn’t get half the appreciation he deserves; Buck Owens
