See, that's what bothers me here too. People are verified and when you do the whole research it can seem genuine but you meet them and it's all a load of toss. We put faith in the fact they're verified but it actually means squat most of the time. Profiles with 20 year age differences in pics and years is as bad as using someone else's pics. I guess it comes down to either they're completely insane and think they look like that OR 'sure you're here now so...'

Its unsettling but half the time people dont report the profile, they leave a veri.

It’s a bit scary that it happens so often. Hasn’t happened here to me but it did on a dating site. None of the pics were her - I left and her reasoning behind it was less people would meet her if they saw her actual pics! Needless to say I reported the profile.

I find the reverse image search good for checking pics are genuine . But that won't work for every scenario.

Also people who only joined and straight away have meets and are verified within a day or two of joining and when you look at the verifications the people who verified them have profiles hidden . Always seems dubious to me . A lot of cat fishing going on for definite. As for lads using other lads pics and men preneding to be couples that's just messed up.

I've been cat fished before too & I should have realised his pics were fake when he send cock pics that were huge!!

When we finally agreed a face to face I drove to meet him but he didn't turn up & left me sitting for half an hour wouldn't answer calls or messages. Next day I woke to an apology he'd fallen asleep as he'd been up from the wee hours but would meet me anytime anywhere to apologise.
