Have you had any experiences of any/all of the above and did it come true enough to make you a believer?

Ill keep it here thanks but i did and I'd say 90% is how you percieve what your told. I dont believe in fortune telling, higher powers, angels .... karma, whatvyou give out you get back. No crystal ball can control that

Sheldon Cooper:

[to the psychic] You know what this is? Yeah, and I reserve this word for those rare instances when it's *truly* deserved. This is malarkey.

Thanks for your reply.

Tbh I tend to agree with you in that its perhaps how you interpret or apply what is being told. I do however strongly believe that there is a force of karma and it does come about to balance "what you reap is what you sow"

Haven't gone myself and am very, very dubious about them.

Having said that, wife has been to a few and what some of them told her has been astounding.

Then, I rewatch Red Lights movie to settle myself

I've read tarot cards for friends, it's about their perception of it as well as mine. Specific dates, situations, people etc can't be predicted.

The stuff I'm talking about was much more specific, very specific. Actually almost scary the amount of details.

There used to be a folklore in Ireland about eating dirt from certain areas to rid you of an illness, or rubbing in in a wound.

They were called backward, and science mocked them.

Science eventually got around to testing the dirt in 2018, and low and behold its antibacterial and can kill even superbugs and bacteria resistant bugs.

The same could be said for the likes of Canabis, for god knows how many years it’s been illegal and anyone smoking it was deemed to be a no good hippie/ bum . In fact it’s way way way less dangerous than alcohol , and is now being proven to have huge health and healing benefits ( I got it for my arthritic dog , and also use it myself , being pain free when I walk was something I’d actually forgotten about . I was and still am amazed at what this plant can do !) . Remember science is a relatively new thing in the whole scheme of things , long before modern medicine there were cures out there , and I’m talking about not just hundreds but thousands of years ago , before man started totally ruining the planet and it’s ecobalance

There are some readers out there that are no good or simply don’t really know what they are doing and aren’t really Psychic in the true sense of the word . Then there are some who are truly gifted at what they do ,are amazingly accurate and help a lot of people .

There are people with a natural ability to foretell things with accuracy , they are rare but do exist . The art of cartomancy or tarot is used as a tool , the cards themselves hold no ability , and are merely for the eye of the querant to focus on whilst the reader is speaking . Similar with crystal ball scrying, the reader simply stares into the ball whilst speaking , this is less common than other methods simply because cold readers can’t do it , they rely on subtle ques from the querant. People with ability don’t mind being ridiculed because their path dictates they must help people with their ability . This is also why the best ones never give you a price to see them , they simply leave it up to you to determine how much to give them . It is also common to be told that the psychic does not want to see you, or has nothing to tell you , simply because they are unable to read you at all.

In all fairness if you left it up to your clients to pay you whatever they wanted you wouldn’t have a business , in any type of business .

These were old cures .. most proven to have effect. Thus was an early form of what we call herbalism. Mostly women carried this knowledge and they werent mocked at all. These healers were held un the highest esteem withen early pre christian history. When christianity took hold they still weren't mocked ..they were burned at the stake as witches. During the dark ages alot of this knowledge was lost.

While an interesting topic of discussion its got nothing to do with Crystal balls and peoples beliefs in the super natural

I am enjoying this discussion as many salient points are raised and discussed.

I have been to a clairvoyant years ago and a tarot card reader more recently.

Tbh their level of accurracy on things tbey could not have possibly known about was admirable.

This is why I raised this topic as I am trying to rationalise if its me putting their predictions into relevant pigeon holes or indeed are they just brilliant at what they do.

I am actually favouring the latter atm.
