how to leave a meet

found else where but an interesting question

So I have been lucky enough to have very gracious meets. If there is no sexual attraction, I have been able to say that and they have been lovely and completely reasonable.

I am quite aware that that might not always be the situation.

Any particular tips or phrases people use when you just don't get the "I want to fuck you" vibe from folk, so you can leave without drama?

It was really nice to meet you and maybe I'll see you at a social/ Meet & Greet some time?

Border Area

How about just being honest and saying ‘i’m Just not feeling it (heat/chemistry) between us’..? Awkward for a minute but you can go back into conversation about fab, etc.

Otherwise, ask them to look up the lyrics of ‘50 ways to leave your lover’ on their smart phone, and while they’re doing that, sneak off. They’ll put 2 and 2 together...

Isn't that what social meets are for

Aye, the much maligned "coffee meet" takes care of issues like this without any awkwardness.

Politely say IT WAS NICE TO MEET YOU BUT I DON'T FEEL THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN US. SORRY.

We aren't the same and wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. It happened to me twice. It's always nice to meet new people. It may hurt if the NO was said in rude way but nicely with the manners? We can "swallow the bitter taste"

I just say "Oh man you can cut the sexual tension in here with a knife", then snort my tea out my nose.

Works every time.

Coffee meet before Xmas handled it perfect

Walks into coffee shop, I stood up to say hi, he looked me up and down, says "oh no your not for me" turned on his heels and left coffee shop.

No doubt in mind that there was no interest.

I've met a few lady's that I've wanted to leave as soon as I've seen them. But I didn't!! And actually found out that they are great craic. It costs nothing to be nice especially if they have taken time it to meet you!!

That's why coffee meets are good, if it doesn't work out just finish your coffee and say it was nice to meet you but I think I should go now and leave on a good note without the awkwardness.

South Side.

I always meet socially first. If its a couple and I'm just not sure if they're into me, I go to the loo, give them time to chat, and when I come back, something will have developed. I'm OK saying to someone that, "right now, I don't feel we're a match". But, in practise, after a few texts on fab, a few kik texts, perhaps phone chat, and photo exchange, by the time we meet we both know a fair bit about each other..and have entered the curious phase.

Still lousy behaviour, have had great coffee meet than didn't lead any further but enjoyable none the less

Start a fire in the toilet, when the hotel is evacuated quickly slip away. Saves on the awkward goodbye kiss/handshake
