Don,t you just hate it when you plan your evening around a meet and then 5 mins before meet they cancel, totally stuffing up your night, need a bloody miracle to meet someone now!

the pub/club is the best way. Your guaranteed to meet people, you have instant face to face interaction, you are guaranteed to get talking to someone. The opposite applies here. As I said to men before, head out and use here for a bit of pass time on the forums. If you get lucky, you get lucky

Pubs and clubs are great fun. I’d love to meet people that way, I’d live to be chatted up but when you’re married it’s not so simple, even when your other half is on board... the potential for disaster is pretty high in terms of bumping into someone you know, wagging tongues etc. etc. so for us here is the only viable way of finding potential fun!

Happened to us last night, guy was well verified and we turned down a lit of other great offers because he ticked a lot of boxes.. by the time we realised he was a no show (meet was planned for 1:30) it was too late for anything else! Now we know things happen and plans change, but not even a message to give us a heads up is shocking behaviour. We rarely get the chance to play so its particular gutting. Manners cost nothing.

Death in a family - heard that excuse way too many times now. Unfortunately. Somehow people's family members happen to die on a day I'm supposed to meet them. Could you believe it... I must be cursed

It was a Sunday. The initial meet was arranged just before noon.

I've been chatting to all 4 on and off for a while so it wasn't random people. Bonus: all of them were definitely off as they don't work on weekends.

Death in a family - heard that excuse way too many times now. Unfortunately. Somehow people's family members happen to die on a day I'm supposed to meet them. Could you believe it... I must be cursed

That's what I'm thinking.

Very funny. Wasn't like that at all. First cancelled due to hangover, arranged something else - disappeared 30mins before, arranged 3rd - 1h before "death in a family", 4th - again dissapeared shortly before meet.

All of them were meant to be socials too lol

If any guy has ever been able to arrange alternative meets as a result of similar catastrophic events, I'd doff my top hat to him.

We had someone meeting us Fri night we both had to change things around to meet..He texted to say he was on the way and kept us informed all the way how long more he'd be about 5mins before he was due to arrive he texed to say oh sorry got a call and have to go home
