In fairness when mourinho was appointed I saw loads give out. Man is a lunatic plus his style of play was never gonna suit United. Be interesting to see what a new manager does with those players

What manager would want the job ?? The club has spent almost £800,000,000 and have nothing to show for it. Another nail in the coffin for this club

Another nail In the coffin ? How much have Liverpool spent since their last title ( early 90’s) . Suppose wouldn’t be like a Liverpool fan to start a thread over United , you sure you support them ? Lol

it's like any new manager coming in. He will be given his war chest to spend. Alot of that United team is shit and then u have a few wouldn't play for mourinho either. 4 big signings all playing shit, fred pogba, lukaku and bailly.

"Martin O Neill but not his friend Roy"

jeepers no! I honestly don't think he'd go anyway. He hasn't said a decent word about man u since he left. And if Jose was a devisive figure in the dressing room then Keano would be worse.

BT sport are talking up Ole Gunnar as temp.

Maybe Conte as long term or Larry White from France. Doubt if Poxytino would leave Spurs...

Why are United supporters so concerned about Liverpool?? It’s Manchester City who ate the most successful English team in the last 5 years. United supporters sounding like Liverpool supporters living off their past successes

The one and only time the premier League trophy was lifted in anfield was by blackburn when the won it...fact.....now back in yere trophy less box litttlepool fans. As for united looks like it's going to be ole and Mike phelan till the season is out.

yeah i'd go with that...two fergie men.

Sunday's result might've been the biggest favour liverpool ever did for united. If Jose had won on sunday he probably would've survived through the transfer window...until beaten in the champions league....like they did with Moyes

Just goes to show how good Ferguson was.

What's happening at United is exactly what happened with Liverpool when Dalglish left.

It will be 6 years since United last won a title. 6 becomes 7, becomes 10 very quickly as any Liverpool fan will tell you. It's hard to get back in the mix when all your rivals are getting stronger.

Look at Arsenal. 15 years since they won a title and they haven't put up a decent challenge in years.

Worrying times for United as it's been shown in the last few seasons that money can't solve their problems.

If he didn’t leave Madrid he was going to be sacked. Barcelona walked the league when he was manager of Madrid, he also had Ronaldo playing there. Actually come to think of it I’d love Zidane to come to United

Zidane had a team of decent players to work with at madrid..ronaldo being the stand out man..Man utd have no world class players lets be honest..all overpaid prima donnas..a nightmare job for anyone to get especially zidane..wenger would be a good choice to steady the ship

No decent manager would want that job. Sure didn’t both Pep and Klopp turn it down

United are finished at the top. Time for a new team to dominate just like Liverpool and United have done

Ah how stupid of me, so a decent set of players can win the premium soccer competition in Europe no matter who is manager. So I look forward to seeing Man C lifting THE trophy this season, I wait with baited breath, I was waiting for this comment to be posted, I wasn't dissapointed, I didn't have to wait long!!

Soccer is a results game, Zidane achieved more than any other manager in Europe in the modern era and as for his achievements on the pitch, well need I say more.

Kirk, Spock and Scottie couldn't steady the UTD ship today....think we're just going back to being an ordinary club for a few years.....yes i remember the 70's and 80's when we were average at best. I also remember in more recent times when City and Chelsea were worse....amazing the number of replica shirts of those two clubs you see these days...the terrace chant of 'where were you when you were shyte' springs to mind. Must've traded in the Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle shirts in at Mike Ashley's sports direct eh?

Hughes is another who hasn't had a decent word to say about UTD since leaving. Don't think he's the answer either.

Man u website had OGS as caretaker til june but quickly deleted the page.

How about southgate? Wouldn't be a disaster would it?

Most of you probably dont remember when Busby left. The club was in turmoil back then as well. We were relegated and bounced back next season under Tommy Docherty. It took several managers and many years to get back to winning ways. When Busby left , the club was almost bankrupt under Louis Edwards ownership. My point is, no club has a god given right to win all around them. Liverpool are still waiting as are many otber clubs. Nowadays its the money men who dictate who wins the premiership ( Leicester being the exception). Look at Chelsea and City, who can compete with their money??

You are totally right here, I don't remember Busby time, but I grew up watching Alex in action.

Money is not an issue in MU, anyway money doesn't win all the time.

I think Alex proved that more then once.

What I am missing here is a team & individual spirit. Will to winning and to give that bit extra when is needed, natural hunger of athletes.

This is more celebrity show now then anything else.

Similar to fab bay the way
