loads of good shops ask someone whos local with tats were they recommend half sleeve should cost between 400 and 800/1000 depending on what u get.Make sure you pick a design you really want or that means something to you after all its a lifelong thing not just for xmas

Dublin Ink in Temple bar would be considered as good as they come. Fairly expensive though you wont have much change out of a grand.

Tell me to mind my own business but it sounds like you are doing it purely for fashion/trend reasons, i wouldnt recommend going all out for the half sleeve, as the previous poster mention try and think of something meaningful to you and start with that then see how you feel.

Most people pic something of importance or really like and build on it piece by piece till you have a half or full sleeve.... price Varys as to different artists and skill level.

Personally I wouldn’t go for the cheapest as from experience you get what you pay for (I ended out with a coverup needing done).

As previous have said and I totally agree - careful thought as to what you get done.

Dublin/westmeath/kildare

City ink have a great range of artists in shop at the moment.

No point in having someone great at line work do water colour or dot.

It completely depends on what you have in mind.

Check out their facebook page to see some of the different artists work.

They listen to what you want & try to make it a reality.

A good few other places near temple bar tried to change my idea completely rather than listen to me. Its your body ensure its what you want & check their portfolios before you let them near your skin with needle

I got 2 done in Dublin Ink so can definitely recommend them! They are expensive but worth it! Colourworks is next on my list, some friends have beautiful pieces from there and the detail and colours are amazing. Just make sure you're happy with the final design and trust the artists advice! Good luck!!

South Side.

I got my one and only tattoo in the Ink Factory, on the quays in Dublin. Excellent, clean, great advice on my own design, he helped me improve the design. Expensive but worth it.
