Heat is your friend, still my go to as the drugs don't work

Hot water bottle or a stick on patch

Plenty of rest

Dublin

Get up with it and get pain relief into you...get a heat patch and run a bath...get some salts...make the bath hot and sit in it for a half hour. You want the back to get abit of heat. After that go on the couch with a blanket, slap the jeat patch on and get a hot water bottle and let the people of fab entertain you.

Ps:absolutely not medically trained to be giving this advise but back pain is no fun.

I've had back pain for years, nothing works for me, but it sounds as if you have done yourself an injury recently, in which case painkillers, alternating heat and ice, and a couple of days taking it easy may do the trick. If not, see your doctor.

Physio

Pain relief will sort pain. Physio will sort issue.

My physio has shown me how to realine my own back against a straight wall.

It could be so many things that giving anything other than generic advise like the heat and pain killers above would be unhelpful.

Get to a doctor if it persists and they can point you in the right direction

COLD pack is the answer. Frozen bag of peas if you have to.

I suffered from spasms and the cold packs were the only thing that works.

Go to a physio and they will sort it and give you exercises so it never happens again.

Ice or something cold. Heat will work short term and can sometimes make the inflammation worse.

City Centre

Heat patches for immediate relief...but the best is doing some stretches...get yourself a foam back roller and use regularly

----------

Might be a few reasons for the spasms but usually occurs after manual labour, lifting or even sports. Could also be something as simple as tightness in your QL's (area of your lower back) or tight glutes.

PM me if need any more advise

Had them before in my lower back ..some of the worst pain ive ever felt..its most likely damage to a disc which causes the muscle around it to tense up creating that horrendous pain..the only cure for me was to lie as still as possible because any type of movement at all caused intense pain..it would usually take a day of lying still to see any improvement..I did go to an a&e once and got an injection of predisolone and was high as a kite pain was still there but i felt great

Hot virgin olive oil and somebody with good firm hands to rub in the oil for 15 minutes every day for a week

Get yourself some anti inflammatory tablets and pain killers. Suffer from bulging disks and only way I get over it is by getting the tensed up area relaxed and only then can a physio or chiropractor help.

If it's a pulled muscle in would think rest and pain killers.

Providing the pain isn't going down you leg in which case it could be your sciatic nerve being trapped.

I'd suggest plenty of rest most lightly the muscles in your back have become tence so a hot bath would help along with the rest hopefully after a few days you should be fine

I suffer from sciatica

And I swear exercise is the best form of pain relief

I exercise at least twice a week and very seldom take neopraxin for it

I do believe the right exercises can help all sorts of back pain

It just finding what works for you, for me it's weights and floor exercises rather that high impact cardio
