Just asking this, don't want to start any drama but need some advice please as fab aren't helpful. In slightest

Anyway I've gotton abuse on this site, all part of it but today I was called a 100 % retarded cunt.... Now I can take stuff with pinch of salt but is anyone else getting really bad messages...

I want to post the message and who sent to warn others but is it my place???

The only thing you can do is block that person and move on.

This is the internet, people think they can get away with anything and it just shows the worse in them. I don't think name-shaming works, does it?

And as far as I know, fab won't do anything as they provide you with the tools to ignore such a*holes. Pardon my french

I agree with just the blocking, there are always going to be those types of people on here, best not to over think it, i would be interested in the message though, twas quite a strong statement to make about someone, its not like you were advising him on his investment portfolio where he lost millions on Anglo Irish Bank !! now some of those folk were Rd Cts

Something similar happened to me recently. I named and shamed the fuckwit on my status update and started a discussion on it. I got myself a 48 hour forum ban for airing my dirty laundry.

Well had a similar experience with a couple we met for a click meet. All went great then we decided to book a hotel for the night a wk later ... told them we had another click meet a few nights before our hotel meet (which was well arranged before we even met this couple) and she completely lost it ... I was called a slut etc and how dare I meet someone else... she was abusive and so rude ... cancelled hotel and blocked them... unreal behavior, was so shaken by it have it say ... nasty lady

I receive abusive and even threatening mails all the time... It says a lot more about the individual's mental capacity than anything else.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

Admin

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
