There's alot of discussion at the forum at moment about married people on fab, and this is not another criticism post I'm just curious about where and when it starts to go wrong in married life? Are we just starting to escape from good old Catholic Irelands grip on on us? That I doubt, I once read that passion in a relationship starts to dwindle after a few years, curious your views..

I reckon it all went wrong when the little woman was allowed leave the kitchen.

middle of nowhere

It's different for everyone. Some fall out of love ,Some times only one falls out of love.

Some grow apart.

Some get caught cheating. It's an endless list. It's sad when a relationship ends but like everything else you get over it and move on. If you have kids together there will always be a connection, and try keep things on a level for them. Doesn't always happen though.

Im married 10 years now and we almost divorced few years ago. If your marriage is falling apart and you as couple can't fix it,then seek help outside. Couples counselling, psychotherapy, there is alot that can help. The worse you can do is to pretend happy couple in front of the kids, they sense there is no love and they learn its "normal". And when they are adults they are very likely to copy the behaviour. Seek help! Ive been there, and I know it really helps!

I suppose she could be useful in the bedroom.

I think you have a point about the church.. or at least peoples view on the stigma of seperation changing.

I grew up in a home where my parents should have seperated long before they did. The tension and unhappiness impacted on us as kids.

As for where it goes wrong I cant comment

If there's a problem. Acknowledge it together and fix it together. Sometimes one half gives up.Both have to work and want it.

Keep communicating and always love each other even during the times when you may not like each other. Talk/listen and learn. The definition of madness is to keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
