Any sensible feedback appreciated

It has been good in previous years. Dublin (like anywhere) tends to be pretty chaotic for NYE so the two bits of advice I would give are:

1. Make sure you get a hotel in the centre as getting a taxi is a disaster.

2. Get wherever you plan to go early so you can get yourself a nice spot

That said, everywhere will have a good crowd in so it shouldnt be hard to find a bitta craic. Just depends whether you want somewhere more traditionally Irish or more modern

Thanks for this, very helpful. We'll probably have a hotel on the centre anyway

"Hotel booked!

There will be new years eve parties on most places. A lot will be ticket affairs, I've seen a few mascarade balls advertised, it might be something different.

Are you staying central? A nice meal followed by a few social drinks can be as nice a new years as any.

Yes we're central, probably somewhere traditional rather than a nightclub

bank bar on college green is a lovely spot .. temple

Bar is great Craic and very touristy but you will pay crazy prices for drinks ... personally when we go to town it’s either the bank or else there are some lovely bars off Grafton Street . One being “the bailey” nice spot x

North Circular Road

Not to be a buzzkill but I'd avoid Dublin city centre on NYE like the plague, personally. You could get lucky, but in my experience there's a good chance you'll wish you were literally anywhere else.
