I've prepped for this all year, now is the time to make a decision;

Do I want a cat or a dog?

If its not going to be alone for long periods its a dog all day everyday.

If you have to leave it home alone get a cat

The best advice i can give you is to get a plant for a year, if its still alive this time next year, then consider a pet, dont buy into nostalgia at this time

Whatever you decide ,think about getting from a rescue instead of a breeder .

Cats are easy to manage and love their own company so can be left home alone.

Remember. Dogs have owner's. Cats have staff

Depends what you want out of the relationship... if you want someone to adore you and agree with you and be ready to play day or night get a dog. If you want to be challenged, used and abused a pussy is the way to go

A dog, even when things are ruff, they will always be there to cheer you up. Bad joke we know but very true.

Definitely a dog or 2 if you can and absolutely from a shelter. I guarantee if you want/need/dont want/dont need a cat. One will turn up on your doorstep and take over your house. Be warned you wont have a say

Does anyone actually WANT a cat? Or is it what they settle for when they can’t get a dog?

Once you don’t buy from a breeder but rehome one from a shelter.

I’m very much a crazy cat lady (in training)

Cats are so much fun and independent

For years I defended myself not to have a pet.

Finally, pussy Freyja won the fight.

Very intelligent and independent animal.

We have two cats a red setter an a golden retriever, I'm not really a cat person to be honast but I see the joy they give the rest of the family.. But as I'm texting my big red setter skully is licking the face off me, one of the cats is staring over as if to say what the fuck is wrong with them

You feed a dog, groom it, pet it, look after it and he thinks to himself "My owner be a god"

Well you know what I'd suggest... #crazycatlady

But in all seriousness, cats look after themselves. Dogs need attention constantly but a cat will be fine on its own. Cats also offer a ridiculous amount of love and affection if you put the time in with them. You know how I feel about my fur babies!

Definitely a doggo for me. They're far from easy work in the beginning, but in my experience, in the end, you appreciate things more when they're harder
