Who has seen it? What are your thoughts? What are your overall thoughts on all things linked to the ad? Why you think it was banned etc

My thoughts:

Okay I think it was a great add.it Highlights a huge problem that is rapidly getting worse Forrest’s have been destroyed to create palm oil plantations.Now the problem is these Forrest’s are the home of the orangutan(critically endangered). I know we all consume palm oil products and it’s going to take a huge effort to use alternative products but this as was intended to be shown at this time of year because we consume more food over the festive period. And we might just be more cautious. It’s my opinion that the big corporations that need this oil are again trying to control us thus keeping there products selling. Also once again the media control what we see and hear , so as to try isolate and keep us like robots.

Great ad.

Trying to buy products without palm oil is increasingly difficult.

Far be it from me but I'm fairly sure that when Mr Brennan started making bread, palm oil was as rare in Ireland as bananas, so why use it?

Needs greater public awareness and the Iceland ad was excellent.

They could use soya or go back to using hemp lots of other ways but then if we do that the rich won’t be as rich

It was banned because greenpeace made the advert. Iceland took all their branding off it and used it for themselves (with the permission of green peace).

The problem is, that's really, unethical.

What if an election was coming up, and tesco was running adverts made by FG and you never knew? What if they donated 7 million to FG and then ran their adverts with Tesco branding to push their message at people?

Iceland should have donated money to greenpeace so greenpeace could have run the advert themselves.

Saying that

Love the advert. It got its publicity so the ban isnt too bad.

If Greepeace were happy for it to be used free of charge what's the problem.

I saw elsewhere on FB that Iceland have committed to removing palm oil from all of their own brand products by the end of the year.
