Staying here tonight near Whelans. Any suggestions for a bar with good music and dance nearby? Not a late nightclub.

North Co Dublin

Whelan’s usually have a band on, but I know the Swan on Aungier street also have a trad music session the odd Friday. Other than that, if you head down to Dame lane, there’s plenty of bars that have music, the Stags Head, Dame Tavern, etc.

If you guys want to try something different, the george is close by, caters to the LGBT community, but obviously everyone is welcome, athmosphere and entertainment is usually gauranteed..

Well if your profile pics reflect your normal "going out" attire then I don't think it will matter which bar you go to - sparks will fly!!

Try anywhere on Harcourt street, Sophies @ Dean Hotel is great bar with good views of city. The Iveagh is really nice new bar thats opened.... Wont be hard to find a venue round that area though.....have a good weekend.
