Anyone experiencing any mental health issues needs to know there is ALWAYS someone out there that will listen to you and want to help. Its something very close to my heart.

I dont care who you are or where you come from, if weve never talked before, I WILL listen to you and try to understand what youre going through

It is never far away, I suffer with it. I went to see someone years ago about it and their advice and coping methods just clicked with me. I learned to not let it overcome me when it returns, it always does and no usual trigger just combinations. Just this week the darkness visited and took me a day or 2 to get my head to use the methods that work for me to step back into the light. For me I just need to have a quiet few hours and focus on all that is good. There is always plenty, always. The darkness is a bitch at hiding the good but find a method that you can always find the good.

Hey op i suffer from depression and anxiety and panic attacks pretty badly. So i no how u feel. Its not easy but ur not alone and its not something to be ashamed or embarassed about. Its a massive struggle sometimes. One day ull wake up in a great mood the other ull feel terrible and struggle to sort ur life out . But thats ok ur allowed that.. a lot of people suffer with it these days way more that i ever would have thought. If ya need to talk ta someone my pm is always open.

This probably not the best place for therapy. See a professional, the first step is a bugger and it can take years to take it but you wouldn’t believe the feeling of the weight lifted after you talked to someone who is trained to help..now it might not work first trip but its better than asking all us guys who probably want really just want a cuddle and a fuck

Make an appointment and follow it through

Recommendations against depression: clean your house that is bright, take a bath, make up, perfumes and you will see the mirror reflex effect, you will feel better

leaving home is locked in the worst now that you are beautiful, go to a park surrounded by nature, take food to the birds. The animals transmit a natural energy as well as the color of the trees

Propose it and go ahead, we all have a bad day.

Happy Sunday and enjoy the sun that rules us this day

Depression is a completely normal thing, 1 in 4 people will suffer from some sort of mental health issue in their life. There's nothing taboo about it and there's so much help available. Anyone that has suffered will know the benefits of talking to someone about it, the power to be able to take control of it and get the help needed. We should treat it in the same way we treat a broken arm for example. No one should suffer in silence

This prooves there are decent, honest and caring people on here.Never feel alone. There's lots of us. Coping strategies help. It's something that particularly erupts this time of year. Talk and share helps. If you can get a SAD lamp, do. Daylight substitute. But chat. I'm astounded by the replies on here. All good responses. Let's support others in the same predicament. Well done fabbers. Make someone who needs to, smile today. Keep this going.

I agree with everything that is said above but dealing with depression, in my own case as a result from a sudden breakup, is much easier said than done.

I have great parents and loving children but still find it so hard to deal with it.

I have read all about the signs and symptoms of depression and use this information to mask the emptiness i regularly feel inside.

Worse for me is my breakup was played out on social media and now the paranoia of going outside, where I believe people are talking about me, kicks in. The whole lot has got too much and now I tend to stay indoors more and more to avoid people as a whole.

I can only pray that the darkness lifts for me and others suffering from depression because the feeling of loneliness and solitude grows exponentially.

I know the breakup was actually a good thing for me as I have later discovered things about her that I was unaware of at the time and how lies became more and more apparent but still I cant find any refuge in this easily.

Thank you for raising this issue OP as this is a subject that needs addressing in our fast moving material world and a stigma that can be relieved through talking. My problem is I find it just to hard to talk due to not seeing what was in front of me and believing we both were so genuinely happy in what seemed a very steady relationship.

I went through something that i never thought id have to. I was the strong one then it happened i completely fell apart.took me a long time to get back up again. The darkness will lift tho and the paranoia will subside. I have these also. I rarely leave the house unless im forced to. And wouldnt go on my own. Doc said i was gettin agoraphobia. Now everytime i do go somewhere on my own even somewhere small i call that a victory. Im winning over it and u will to. My doctor put me on strong antidepressants as well which help me cope. Not saying they are the cure to it. But they helped me. Forcing myself to do normal things like work and house work get u into a routine which i find helps also.

Agree! Been there, done that and thankfully a whole lot better. Used alternative methods to deal with it. Different things work for different people. Sometimes CBT, others medication and so on. Always help around and if anyone needs it my door is always open

remember help is always neat by.

Aware free fone is 1800804848

also locally check out WRAP ireland and Grow ireland.

both are great for local support for mental health issues, never be affraid to ask for help, you will not be judged , looks down on or spoken down to.

remember darkness before the days ... & this too shall pass ...

make a call ... talk & believe in yourself
