" By Sensitive SidFind posts by Sensitive Sid Man 3 minutes ago Belfast I agree with everything that is said above but dealing with depression, in my own case as a result from a sudden breakup, is much easier said than done. I have great parents and loving children but still find it so hard to deal with it. I have read all about the signs and symptoms of depression and use this information to mask the emptiness i regularly feel inside. Worse for me is my breakup was played out on social media and now the paranoia of going outside, where I believe people are talking about me, kicks in. The whole lot has got too much and now I tend to stay indoors more and more to avoid people as a whole. I can only pray that the darkness lifts for me and others suffering from depression because the feeling of loneliness and solitude grows exponentially. I know the breakup was actually a good thing for me as I have later discovered things about her that I was unaware of at the time and how lies became more and more apparent but still I cant find any refuge in this easily. Thank you for raising this issue OP as this is a subject that needs addressing in our fast moving material world and a stigma that can be relieved through talking. My problem is I find it just to hard to talk due to not seeing what was in front of me and believing we both were so genuinely happy in what seemed a very steady relationship." I went through something that i never thought id have to. I was the strong one then it happened i completely fell apart.took me a long time to get back up again. The darkness will lift tho and the paranoia will subside. I have these also. I rarely leave the house unless im forced to. And wouldnt go on my own. Doc said i was gettin agoraphobia. Now everytime i do go somewhere on my own even somewhere small i call that a victory. Im winning over it and u will to. My doctor put me on strong antidepressants as well which help me cope. Not saying they are the cure to it. But they helped me. Forcing myself to do normal things like work and house work get u into a routine which i find helps also.

"Hey op i suffer from depression and anxiety and panic attacks pretty badly. So i no how u feel. Its not easy but ur not alone and its not something to be ashamed or embarassed about. Its a massive struggle sometimes. One day ull wake up in a great mood the other ull feel terrible and struggle to sort ur life out . But thats ok ur allowed that.. a lot of people suffer with it these days way more that i ever would have thought. If ya need to talk ta someone my pm is always open. " Agree! Been there, done that and thankfully a whole lot better. Used alternative methods to deal with it. Different things work for different people. Sometimes CBT, others medication and so on. Always help around and if anyone needs it my door is always open
