We could be legally able to blaspheme to our hearts content later this evening. Anyone going to join me ? Hopefully another step in full segregation of church and state in this lovely country.

If only it meant what you say! It’s got absolutely nothing to do with the Church being cozy with the State. It’s just removing the word from the Constitution. If passed, it allows the House to bring legislation whereby the majority can say they are offended by what one person says and they could be charged and tried in court. A majority is more than two.

As sure as there is no god i have never heard of anyone ever been charged for blasfemy...

Has anyone ever been forgiven and escaped getting struck down for such crimes?
