It is quite of an eye opener to see how we can't do without broadband for a while.

England is massively hit and miss on more occasions than is becoming acceptable, Dunno how the community of Irelands usage fairs up but anytime after 6pm here the bandwidth drops do badly it's not even worth attempting to log into anything until later in the evening

A family member could do some work yesterday as they needed to be logged in over the internet. It would be a mess if it went on for a period of time.

terrible data problems all day yesterday, voice and whatsapp seemed ok though, unless you were sending naughty pics which wouldn’t deliver

I quite like that last time we didn’t have broadband (and power). It brought all of us in the house together and it was fun.

Shit that I couldn’t make tea though.

in general ours is grand, we dont get drop offs so cant complain but then our population where we live would be a fraction of where you are

We are from the north east of England so it's generally not THAT bad though the 6pm surge is usually enough to knock out a device or 2 for an hour or so.

It also varies depending on your provider so it's becoming a lottery now on who supplies what and over how wide a bandwidth and whether it will remain stable enough to stop my kids having a seizure over "fortnite" being offline for too long.
