Just as title suggests!

Should a married man have to beg his wife for sex?

Had a conversation with a friend recently and his wife keeps ducking out on sex. She keeps giving him the excuse 'she is tired' and when he brings up the topic of sex she tells him that he is being too pushy!

Any thoughts?

I've told him to sit her down and ask her what she expects from their relationship sexually and for him to tell her what he would like??

Barring joining here and looking for some, what are his options? Or has anyone been down this road before???

Lack of desire for sex can result from many different things, including other issues in the relationship. The best thing your friend could probably do is express to his wife how the lack of sex is making him feel and suggest they attend counselling together. Chances are the lack of sex is a symptom rather than the cause of something amiss in the marriage.

I never begged for sex.. A men should if that's the kimd of relationship he is in...

However it doesn't seem this the kind of topic.

In time i learned terminating relationships that were becoming sexless.

It's absolutely soul destroying to be with a partner or husband that has zilch interest in having a physical relationship together. I lasted 3 years, the last 3 in marriage before I decided to leave. I admire your friend for at least trying to address the problem. It is sadly a symptom I think,as in something going wrong in their relationship. In my case it was an affair which I only found out about when I left marriage. So in other words there's a reason for her lack of interest, he just needs to find out exactly what it is..xx

Not a question anyone can really answer as no one knows what's going on in anyone's relationship. Maybe he's talking shite looking a sympathy vote

Maybe she really is tired? Some women work, juggle kids and school, have a house to clean, washing to do, mouths to feed and sometimes they just get tired. If you think this might be her, tell him to help more with the house and get a babysitter, get her to dress up, take her out on dates again and remind her why she loves him. The spark might just return.

Or Dombiker could be right and she is getting it elsewhere

I totally agree with you.

The easy way is leaving a partner. Do whatever has to be done: your friend should start from the conversation with his wife first. Then if she agrees try both to fix it. It might be temporary lack of interest or even the symptom of depression. Please don't ignore anything. Of course sometimes there is nothing to fix but you wouldn't this know without trying.

Good luck to your friend! Marriage is an institution with lots of compromises

V.

This is good advice....I tried this with two series of counselling sessions over two years. A lot came out and was said. In the end though things didn't improve with our sexlife so the constant rejection led me to this site. One of the best decisions I've made was to take back control of my own sexuality. I'm a happier and calmer person since and if anything it has improved our realtor ship. Btw she knows I'm on here and meet but chooses to turn a blind eye.

No he shouldnt have to beg

But she shouldnt have to give freely on demand either if she not fully up to it

It could be down to a number of factors

Health reasons

Emotinal reasons

Sometimes both men and women loose their sexual desires temporaily

It could be just that she dosent find him attractive anymore.this does happen

Best approach is sit down and talk to her about it

Asking or begging for sex is already kind of negative thing. Future have to look bright, conditions have to be right for mating

Every time he ask for sex and gets rejected - means he lost. After he loses enough times he becomes looser. Nobody likes losers.

He have to become stronger, have to stop saying weak things about himself.

If he styes in this type of relationship just for sake of saving relationship, he will turn into cuck.

He has to use logics and play her, get her excited. Christmas time makes girls horny ...

Well I don't think he should just join here to get some. He should talk to his wife. Could be any number of reasons, as people have pointed out already. His next step shouldn't be to just cheat on her

Exactly, two wrongs dont make a right. And he will probably justify cheating by blaming her!
