Another had it more severe, she wouldnt meet during a flare up. It bothered her more than me.

I had it for over 30 years then about 8 years back I was going on holiday to Turkey and decided to get a few sunbed sessions before I went .

Spent my holiday on the beach and between that and the sunbed got a serious tan .

When I got home I realized the psoriasis was gone and I have

never got it back since ?

Its an immune response to harmless things on your skin.

For example everyone has normal fungus on your skin, but psoriasis can trigger fighting it. Stress can cause your immune system to do an immune response so that can cause an outbreak.

This means there is no single course of action for it.

Sunbeds work by killing everything on your skin, it kicks in vitamin d and e, and the immune reaction stops.

If you then go on holiday you will likely go to the beach etc, and expose your skin to a broad range of bacteria/fungus which can then start a healthy colony on your skin.

Using apple cider vinegar diluted as a wash can have the same affect, kill everything and create a good place for a healthy colony to regrow.

But for other people, tea, or meditation, or even yoga can help.

If you have it and its embarassing, you can try just the nuclear option of having a bath to kill everything on your skin. Using tea tree oil, apple cider vinegar with the mother, and then applying anti bacterial/anti fungal oil after like coconut oil.

And try not get stuck in a loop, where stress about your skin, causes you to break out, this is the worst case scenario as it can be hard to fix.

That's seriously good advise. And no, it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Hi I had it completely covered my torso , scalp and back for years before I went to treatment as I could no longer hold it off my face. Went to 7 weeks of uv therapy in the hospital in cork city private. Like a big tanning bed and it slowly disappeared. Have been free now for 2 years it's a godsend. Never been more relived. Since the past few months a few small dots have appeared around my nips but a few touch ups of uv should sort them out and get another 2 years or more

Natural remedies are a waste of time and doveabet cream is just temporary. Go to a dermatologist and get him to schedule uv therapy. It is not a sun bed as you do not get a tan from it and it is in a hospital . And you stand in one for a few seconds to a few minutes at most . Do not go to a sun bed it is a different wavelength of uv. I've been true all this so I have a good idea

You are actually not right at all

Psoriasis is the result of a sped-up skin production process. Typically, skin cells grow deep in the skin and slowly rise to the surface. Eventually, they fall off. The typical life cycle of a skin cell is one month.

In people with psoriasis, this production process may occur in just a few days. Because of this, skin cells don’t have time to fall off. This rapid overproduction leads to the buildup of skin cells. It's an immune response to yourself

People with psoriasis loose their skin cells 11 times faster than normal people. Stress is a huge factor in exasperating it. Sun is the best medicine

My partner has relatively severe psoriasis on her arms and legs. I couldn't possibly care less about it. As I think most people on here would agree, people are their own worst critics, and people with psoriasis are much more self-conscious about it than anyone else. Hope this helps and makes sense to anyone with psoriasis

Mrs lick suffered from it when we were first going out we went on a sun holiday and it cleared up never came back.

Might be an idea to try a few sunbed sessions or head off somewhere hot and sunny

I don't agree with you. All natural remedies work better but for the effects you have to wait longer! First of all: changing the diet, reducing stress to the minimum, avoiding public places such as swimming pools, steam rooms, saunas, beaches. There are many bacterias and it might be worse. Taking vit D3, A and E, cleansing body using apple cider vinegar with the mother diluted in the water (boiled then cool it down). Aloe gel altogether with organic unrefined coconut oil with few drops of tea tree oil (2 or 3 is enough) works better than any other medications. OP please pm me for more info
