Looking for recommendations.

Girls over a size 12 - where do you go to buy clothes that actually fit, are not tents and don't break the bank with silly price-tags?

TVs/CDs - it's the shoe-thing - for your heels and courts - there must be places you like to spend your schekkles??

Volunteer Personal Shoppers appreciated for a mixed bunch of Fabbers hitting Dublin weekend of 18th to 21st October.

Yeah, we're converging on Dublin from disparate parts so we can have a giggle while we shop

Im a size 16 and most shops i can shop with ease. I love Dorothy Perkins and Villa. Great sizing in both shops

Most shops cater for sizes up to 20

Cheers Rover,

I'm familiar with Dottie P's - but where is Villa?

I find that the non-standard fittings make size '20' shopping the hardest - I have elephantine hips and most 20s don't actually fit - only M&S are reliable that way.

It will be a mixed load I reckon.

For the TVs/CDs it will be 'dress up' mainly so all input would help.

You'd be welcome to join us - it helps to get the view of others when shopping, as much as how you feel when you're trying new stuff out.

I'm a size 18/20/22 depending on brands. H&m have some lovely bits a good mix of stuff. I see straidvarius mentioned a lot too. Check the websites first and see what their "looks" are give you an idea of what's in season.

Done a check-up on all suggestions to date - some very good ideas there.

The chainstores are easy to find - but where are the hidden secret places - the ones you'd never find unless you were directed there by someone 'in the know'?

depends on the type of shop you are looking for ... sth William St, Wicklow St & Exchequer St all have interesting shops ... if you like 2nd hand or charity shops then sth grt Georges St near the George pub is very good, interesting shops also in Temple Bar.

Penneys is a very hit and miss place - had the odd couple of good purchases there.

Victoria's Secret - will check them out.

We may need Krispy Kreme - to keep the energy levels up
