Price of a Haircut

Average price is now €30 for a men’s haircut in dublin.

All this high fade clippers nonsense. Some fella with a sleeve tattoo and skinny jeans with no skill with a scissors will do the job.

What is the most you’d fork out for a snip snip? I wouldn’t pay more than €20 myself.

I use the man shack up here. Think it's about £20 but they give you a pint with that as well. Or I'd have a JD and .

€13 in my local for a wash and cut...and a few beautiful hairdressers draped over me even for 15 mins. They used to call it a wash, cut and blow dry but too many customers were making the mistake of calling it a wash cut and blow job..

I hear some men are using veet now to get rid of the hair. It certainly would mean less trips to the barber.

That's the city for ye. The further out of city centre the more normal prices, except the south side.

Anyhow I think blokes get a fair deal no matter what. I got charged double to cut shoulder long hair than a friend of mine with shoulder long hair. It trully p**sed me off. Since then I cut my hair myself.

If you were charged double for basically the same haircut there must have been a much higher level of service and more high end products used in the place you went to.

It was the same hairdresser and in both cases simple wash-cut-blow.

What do you do with the bears? Do you keep them as pets?

I work in the city and have never paid more than €20. I’m sure the likes of Grafton Barbers etc charge more but there’s loads of decent alternatives

Different people within the same industry often charge different prices.

Comparing a barber who charges €20 for a cut instead of €15 for instance on price alone misses myriad factors in why the prices might be why they are.

A barber in the city center will tend to have higher rents associated with their costs. Depending on the client a barber could be an hr cutting/styling etc.

I don't see why anyone would have an issue with a perfectionist barber charging appropriately for their time. I'd prefer to spend the extra couple of euro to get the best with any service if there is considerable diffrrence.

There is a huge difference in barbers. For instance the vast majority of Turkish barbers aren't good barbers. They don't seem to understand some very basic principles any good barber should know.

Barbers at the top of their game will want to earn more than the average barber. That's fair enough by me. They spend more on their tools. Spend more time training and spend more time on their customers.

Maybe some guy down the street will only charge you €6 and by all means feel free to go down and leave him fuck your head up. If you want your hair to look well and take pride in your appearance more often than not you will have to pay premium prices for premium cuts.

Leave a tip too by the way. It's nice to be nice to people who provide such a personal service.

It is one barber in a church str who charge 25€ for a haircut, and if you just wish glass of whisk or gin is complementary.

How that sound to you ppl on a Wensday morning?

Nothing better then, to start of a day in a right way.
