I was looking around perving as you do ... reading profiles for a change... then I thought about mailing the person because of their amazingly good pictures but after reading i changed my mind and felt quite intimidated by it!

Seems like spectations are so so high, when i read dont like this dont like that , fuzzy , fit guys only , average move on , good looking, if you look like a celebrity...

It seems to me that is such an inflated expectation in some people as they might be the complete opposite of their demands if you know what i mean!

Anyways... rant over didnt mail the girl as profile was off putting

If that's what they are looking for why not say? You might aswel aim for what you want. A lot of women and couples who have these "inflated expectations" have plenty of veris so it must work.

I know what you mean, being rejected really isn’t the end of the world.

But in aggregate they can really dampen your spirit.

It’s a bit like job hunting, the more rejections you get the more you question your self worth. Why add to the damage and go for something you have no chance at?

I have a list and the subject I always like to see on a message because I know the have read my profile. I have some rules because on this females get haunted me messages and it's really over whelming and makes it hard to talk to those who are genuine as there messages just get lost. A1

I don’t really understand your point OP. Everyone has an ideal of who they want to meet - that’s not to say it’s going to happen.

If you feel intimidated by someone’s profile, then that’s your problem, not the fabber whose profile you read.

Spot on!! I have one of those "intimidating" profiles. But I get tons of messages every day and thanks to my intimidating profile I know before I even read a message who has and hasn't bothered to read my profile before writing to me. It saves me a lot of time.

Profile is probably strict because of time wasters,and complete idiots which there is way to many on fab, everyone has rules dos and donts, its shows respect when you get back them you can explain you have read them and I know you don't like this etc etc

but can you compromise, be polite with it there is always a chance if they see your are respectful thoughtful and read there profile which most people don't you might surprise them they will see the real you and take it from there.

The imbalance of men and women on here comes with pros and cons from a women's perspective. While it's great to have the upper hand and the choice, the attention can be overwhelming and there's the danger that you loose touch to the ground which may become apparent in profile bios and exaggerated/inflated preferences.

It is tricky enough to write a good female fab blurb to set out your preferences without sounding like a negative and stuck up bitch. However it's possible and as the profile reflects to a certain degree your personality and attitude you might think twice how you portray yourself.

Yeah, I personally wouldn't but not because I would find him intimidating. I'm here from fetlife where my bio is ten times worse but also where I clearly state that I am a dominant woman.

I wouldn't mail a man with a profile like mine because it indicates a dominant man which is not what I'm looking for.

The men who have read my profile and still mail me, and there is a lot of them, do so BECAUSE they like what I have written and how I have written it.

Just because you are intimidated by words on a screen doesn't mean we all are.

I wouldn't be to worried about saying hello. As long as its respectful almost everyone gets a reply. I don't see the point in being rude. if we dint reply it's because the mail is asking for something outside our profile do's and dont's. Doesnt always work out well though.

Last night our last polite thanks for the mail but we arent meeting was met by "get off your high horse and go f*$k yourself" . I can see why many don't reply all the same
