Pearl Jam are the greatest band to make music. Kurt Cobain very over rated. Nevermind was basically a pop album and that's why it sold. Smashing pumpkins are also incredible. I regard Billy Corgan as one of the most important songwriters of the last 50 years.

Pearl Jam top but I'm not sure they could still be considered Grunge. Soundgarden, Nirvana and Screaming Trees my other favourites of the genre.

Can't remember the classifications for Annihilator, Coroner and Suicidal Tendencies but I still loved them all, amongst others

Forgot Stone Temple Pilots. Core and Purple great but the Unplugged was just out of this world. Never has a rocking chair had a greater occupant

Soundgarden, Pearl jam, Temple of the Dog, Nirvana, Queens of the stone age and Audioslave

Was at a gig recently like a tribute to the music of Chris Cornell, it was absolutely amazing. That man is such a loss to the world of music

Im actually gonna say it. First album by Hole and Courtney Love was exceptional. Was also a massive fan of Faith No More (not grunge i know) also Check out Neil Young "Mirrorball" with Pearl Jam as backing band. Sonic Youth and the Pixies too. God i loved being a 90s teenager. Kids today will never know how good we had it music wise

Check out Chris Morris' parody Pixies song Motherbanger. Best parody song ever.

Pink floyd (4 original band members) playing comfortably numb at the Live8 concert! Sheer brilliance.

Half Man Half Biscuit could perfect grunge whenever they wanted. National Shite Day and Depressed Beyond Tablets come to mind as near perfect songs.

Stone temple pilots , dinasaur jnr, but the best band in the world goes to rage against the machine. Saw them in the tivoli years and years ago.

Prophets of rage seem good too as I am a huge cypress hill fan.

All of the above but Pearl Jam are stand out for me.

I was a Nirvana fan, and still like all the old reliables, Smells Like Teen Spirit etc. But having seen a few documentaries and listened to a few podcasts about Kurt Cobain I've really been turned off him. He comes across as a child m***sting, self centred prick.....harsh I know, but sure look it, isn't that it.

As you mentioned Queens of the Stone Age, you might want to check out another of my favourites, which was where Josh Homme was actually good (just my opinion). Think is classified as stoner metal or something but Kyuss were brilliant. Albums Blues for the Red Sun and Circus Comes to Town are their best. Enjoy, if you haven't already

That was a great decade for music. Sunstroke in Dalymount in 94 was great, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Therapy?, Frank Black and Helmet. A rake of cans followed by several hours sweaty moshing.

Ah! Didnt realise they headlined the next year. Nineties a distant blur at this stage. Saw the chillis a few times..always thought they were crap live. Liked Therapy?!. Anyone remember my little funhouse?..wonder what happened to them..its like they fell off the planet.
