I was crazy into reading when i was younger (still am, just harder to find time) so i always figured my dream job would be a librarian

Instead i fell into retail.. dammit!

In 1994 I was in 1st year in school and we wrote letters to ourselves that were to be put in a time capsule and opened 10 years later in 2004.

I still have the letter. It's a funny read I have to say.

In it I wrote that "I want to be a rock star and fuck loads of bitches"

Well, I ain't a rock star and I don't fuck loads of bitches

Can't share specific details on forums but I was directed down one career path in late teens. I followed it for some time and got pretty much as far as I could. Took a big risk some years later, following what I felt was my forte and I couldn't have been happier. Was a while before I earned the same money, then more, though I was happy going to work almost every day.

Follow your heart OP, after you get your exams

I always knew what I wanted to study in college but never knew what career I would lead me to. So I did my degree and hoped for the best.

After working for a few years I went back to college by night for more qualifications which led to more job options, so I changed career a bit. After another few years I did another post grad and again had new opportunities open to me.

I swore I’d never study again but now I’m thinking maybe just maybe I’ll start something next year...

I gues what my experience has taught me is that you can always change your directon if you’re willing to try and that learning is never boring when it’s something that you want to do and when you know how much it can broaden your horizons.

Maybe those feckin nuns in school were right after all

Brutal doesn’t do it justice, but isn’t it amazing how you can forget the pain of something when you consider the joy it brings afterwards

When i was a teenager i wanted to become a military historian , but in the country i grew up it would have required a military career path which was denied to me , So i studied winery . Those were the cheapest drinking years i ever had. After graduating i became a professional musician in a Salsa orquestra . Once i had my fill with traveling so many miles to make a living as a musician i became an accountant and later a business consultant . Still shut luads of mileage but better paid. Now I am in the process to become a luthier ...one day the travel will end and i just enjoy to make a new body of a guitar, forming the curves like the curves of the body of a luscious lady ...it’s living the dream for me
