What encourages you to make first contact with someone on fab?

Is it photo based or something said on the profile?

What deters you from making first contact?

Speaking personally I'm all for quality over quantity and if I see a profile written in "text speak" that's reason enough to avoid.

It's not just guys with lazy profiles.

Interesting comments and interactions on the forums mainly, I dont really do profile surfing like I would have when I was here previously

Going to be honest pics are what grab my attention first, then profile text if it shows some character, then verifications.

I wouldn’t contact or respond to a profile with no public pics. I have the filter set but it doesn’t work.

I mostly interact through the forum page i never profile surf if there's a funny comment or flirty interactions ill always wink or message......

if I like the look of someone from their profile photo il have a read of the profile and If there is still enough interest il mail.

If the photos are not to my taste then il just go to the next profile.

It’s the photo and then obviously the profile description . I look for confidence and experiance . I stay away from driven snow and would only convers if there was a spark .

Block block block ..... no time for random time wasters unless we have a common interest and that interest may have nothing to do with kink or the life style .

Iv met some realy nice people here .

I've never really browsed the forums until recently but it seems a better way of getting to know people and just as importantly letting them get to know me. Good call.

Most of my interaction is with the forum people as you'll get a bit of a feel for their personality. Good pictures help but aren't essential.

I understand the wit and intelligence part and the importance of good pics etc.

The emotional intelligence works both ways though and in my experience there are a lot who claim to want or need a connection with someone but shy away when you try to interact.

Echoing alot of what has been said, I would say interaction on the forums (intelligent and / or funny comments) coupled with a good profile and tasteful pics which leave you wanting to find out more. A majority of messages I've received have been via forum interactions.

What would deter me from contact would be those with just friends only pics, it doesn't take much effort to have one or two tasteful public pics. Also a profile where little or no effort put into would perhaps not deter me completely but I'd be more likely to contact someone who has put some effort into it.

POSITIVES

1) Sexy Pics

2) A compatible profile.

NEGATIVES

1) A big list of don't do this don't do that as these people are too negative. Why not write what they do want!!!

2) A long bio, I'm too busy to read it.

3) No pics at all.

4) Very little detail in their profile.

A well written and interesting profile and a few subtle but sexy pics attract me.

I'm relatively new using the forums so most of my contact is from a few of the messages I receive or guys I suss out myself.

Verifications also attract me though they can also put me totally off.

First contact is almost always around something they posted on the forum. I avoid profiles with no public pics, people who have smoker on their profile, and profiles that have very little info on. Occasionally I would make an exception to those, but it's rare.

Step 1 Start with photos....tasteful revealing a little but leaving enough suspense - proceed to Step 2, bad quality nasty close ups of privates- abandon mission Step 2 Profile text- boring copy paste job with endless rules - Abandon Mission, inviting quirky bio that gives a little insight into owners personality- Proceed to Step 3, Step 3 Veris......etc , 9” **** - Skip steps 1 to 3 and proceed to check out

The forums seem to be mostly Southern Ireland based people so I don't usually base my first message from here as distance too far.
