Depends really if there is a chance he will freak out at the chance of it getting to more then just sex . Do you want to lose even that if he does freak ? Try drop it into conversation even as a joke and test the waters with his reaction

Need to speak up or at least test the waters. Suggest a social outing like drinks or meal and see the response. If the response is not in favour of spending time together outsude bedroom then the relationship is purely NSA fun.

Then decision to be made if your friend continues a NSA relationship harbouring feelings. I would suggest not...if feelings aren't reciprocated. But upshot is it might be start of something good
