I'm well aware of my good points and bad points, don't need people on fab to point them out to me, and wouldn't normally reply to a message that is full of fake flattery. I don't receive vast amounts of mail, I have good filters in place and I take it all with a pinch of salt. I know my worth, fab neither adds to nor detracts from that.

I think fab can give some people an over inflated ego at times. But any woman with a brain knows that guys will pretty much say anything to get into your knickers. So they shouldn’t take it seriously.

Personally what it did for me was make me realise that some guys genuinely do wanna shag a fat lass. Which gave me back confidence that I had lost.

Great post OP, a very interesting topic and one I'm following with great interest. For me I've found that Fab has actually enhanced my confidence in myself. Listen I'm no Brad Pitt or a Ryan Gosling but then again who is. I am however me, a guy in his early 40s with a dad bod haha, I've been told I look younger than my 42yrs (thank you Mam and Dad for the youthful genes!). I am comfortable in my own skin and I feel I'm attractive to others, without been arrogant with it. I think that self confidence and self esteem are key in this, for too long in the final days of my marriage and in immediate aftermath of my separation my confidence was at rock bottom. Slowly but surely I regained that confidence, lost significant weight though exercise such as running and weight training and in the process I've rediscovered my true self. Nowadays I'm of the opinion that you take me as you see me...

I think it is the wrong place for people with confidence issues. (Both too much or too little) you need to be comfortable with and recognise your own level of true confidence. If someone is being continually flattered on here for no other reason than to bed them, the resulting inflated ego will not help in "real life" situations. On the flip side someone with low confidence being continually rejected will exacerbate that lack of confidence. I'm the best in the world at being me and I'm happy with that. On a scale of zero to Connor McGregor my confidence is somewhere in the middle. It works for me and no one on fab will change that except me
