So are these prepaid mastercards accepted for booking hotel? Has anyone any experience?

Yes I have used one to book hotels.

Can use them for anything really.

Which one do you have? Swirlcard looks handy and not too ripping off.

If it is a mastercard pre-paid it will work wherever mastercard works, if visa wherever visa will work. It's just like that.

Yeah I use Swirl. It’s MasterCard

Easy to top up. Most shops will top it up for u. Or u can ur ur bank account to top up.

I don’t know about the others to b honest.

Thanks lads, I just get a swirlcard in the petrol station, looks easy to use. Great to keep my hidden money on Hope they won't send any statement.

No statements only on your phone if u want it youself....dont conect 2 ur bank account either will see on your bank account statement...top up in shops with cash only..goo luck

Don't think they work at the card only petrol pumps but I think they're good to go pretty much anywhere else

Don't think so, car hire companies are pretty cautious, usually they only accept credit cards.

... but just use revolut much easier

You can set up virtual cards on Revolut too.

Not all hotels and retailers take prepaid master cards as there is a high transaction fee on these.
