Have you been outed as a fabber in public by another fabber ? It happened me last nite and I've heard some more awkward stories today . So what's wrong with people ? Definitely discretion needed!

Unfortunately some people do not understand discrete. Because of the insular nature of this Island and the way the "Good Living for a Living" would pour mock scorn and scoffing disdain on anyone who enjoys a hobby like Fab we all need to be careful. What they forget is that in order to see someone on Fab and "Out" them, they first had to sign up too! Ignore them, Block them and strike up a conversation with them the next time they're with the partner/wife/husband who knows nothing about Fab.

Yes it happened to me and a few friends in another place. It didn't worry me, I'm big enough and ugly enough but I know one person who suffered quite badly. She and nobody else deserve that.

It happened to my partner on another site and was outed in public and kept calling her Mistress... probably part of the reason she left the entire scene.

Seeing as though were all in the same boat its ridiculous that some people still dont know how to behave in public or within our vanilla lives!

What do you honestly believe admin can do in such circumstances?

As disgraceful as it is,it's your word against theirs and all admin will do is block you from each other even if you have already done so.

100% agree.... there is absolutely no need to approach unless you also have a vanilla friendship and in that circumstance this 'hobby' would not even be a mention never mind a discussion!!!

Actually bumped into someone last night recognized their face then realized it was from here he realized same

The op was here before with a different profile and was verified on that. But if I remember correctly op had a face picture on public for quite awhile. Is that not kinda outting yourself?

The guy was a idiot for sure but that's the risk you take when your brave enough to show yourself on here no?

Just to clarify I'd never spoken to this guy nor did I recognise him from anywhere I wasn't in my local area and have no issue been recognised I'd suggest a discreet mail to ask me can they approach . I am verified on my profile I just choose not to display . When I say outed publicly I literally mean I was with a friend in a non fabbing situation so a definite lack of discretion to be screaming my name from here at me and then stopping beside my taxi . It's not a big deal to be recognised if it's conducted in an adult manner .

Hahaha, same here. I'm shocking with faces & names. Even with close friends, if I'm out & about more often than not I'm in my own little world & rarely recognise people.

Just thinking, if I was out & I did recognise someone from here there's no way I'd walk up to them & say Hey! Aren't you such & such on that swinging site? Where's the fun in that?

If I did anything at all it would be trying to catch her eye & flirt across the bar. That's the fun, if it was there.
