How is everyone's weight loss journey going! Hit my 5 stone loss mark yesterday and finished my first half marathon. Anyone else still on the grind?

Don't worry too much about exercise... just try and count calories using a free app called my fitness pal... and aim for your weight loss to take a long time rather than trying to kill yourself for a short period of time but not sustainably. Exercise is a bonus but if you eat under 2000 calories every day you'll loss weight. Don't cut out carbs or any of that nonsense... just eat under 2000. And eat 2000 whenever you need to you won't put any on eating 2000 just won't lose as much.

The key is not being too ambitious... slow and steady... not a diet but just learning better options.

5 Stone is amazing. Well done. Just decided I need to lose a few (a lot) myself. Gym work started and a target decided. I thought joining fab might get me a little cardio work too

It can be very easy for people to say do this or dont do that, cut this out, eat more of that. Though there are people in the right frame of mind to make these changes to their diet, most aren't. A lot of times the issue is much deeper than we care to look.

Just my opinion, but I believe every physical pain/ physical issue has an emotional attachment connected to it. A more long term solution to physical problems is understanding and working to resolve the underlying emotion connected to it.

Well done. Losing weight is hard, but also easy, just takes a lot of will to stick to a plan and you're doing it so well done and dont stop now.

Five stone?? Bloody hell OP, that's nearly 32 kg... like a HUGE sack of potatoes... the ones the chip shop uses...

I lost 75 post surgery, then gained back 30 but currently losing again as I am preparing for a bypass overseas. Next weigh-in next month. Can't wait to see results!

Weight management is fucking difficult... especially for a lifelong fattypants like me but worth every kilo lost.

Best of luck!!

I've found that if I walk to the shop I burn off enough the same calories as a curly wurly... that was a game changer! Lol

Try jumping rope. Gets a bad name for some reason, but extremely effective at burning fat.

Try a weighted rope first around one pound. Then build endurance and get a speed rope and another heavier weighted rope.

Jumping rope has made me lose a bit of weight but has increased my stamina much more. Easily do 10 k a day on a treadmill plus jumping rope, squats, push ups, side planks, etc.

I've also found jumping rope is less of a chance of gaining an injury compared with jogging or sprinting It's also great after work because you can do it anywhere and a good twenty minute work out saves time rather than having to go the gym after work.
