Late one evening about 20.00 i rang a mobile broadband provider to know as to why my Wi-Fi wasn't working even though I had two sim cards hence double the MB as normal.the clueless call centre guy proceeded to tell me I had used up my 15mb allowalance when I again explained that I had two sims and none were working again he told me I had used my allowance.again I called out the two mobile broad band sim cards and asked him to again check them he proceeded to tell me I was missing something as my allowance was used and I had to wait to renew the allowance at the end of the billing period or buy more data, after some heated exchanges when he eluded to my lack of knowledge about my accounts and the alowance on them with a lot of snide innuendo on his part. I hung up in the knowledge that the company value ur feed back on ur interactions with their call centre and i waited.

5hrs later ping the text came with the survey of ur last interaction with the call centre I responded to the survey quiet negatively by 9.30 the following morning I received a phone call telling me the survey had sparked a review of the taped conversation and that the agent had being recommended for retraining and the company could not apologise enough for his rude replies and lack of knowledge shown by the agent when they had checked out the two sims one had not reset on the last billing date and I had 15mb of data avaible to me.

Don't get me wrong dealing with the public u come across some rude ignorant clueless people and working in a call centre can stretch ur nerves but every now and again take a deep breath hit refresh and listen to what u are being asked.

This is what happens when you have a service. In todays world it is only a matter of money and if you pay nuts you get monkeys.

About the knowledge, it is always a matter of training and again, money to spend. At the end is a matter of Service Level Agreement and stats.

Referring the call back for the apologies... Was the issue resolved or the main point of the call back was the apology?

P.S. I have 12y experience about call centre... When you work there you discover that stupid people and stupid questions are the normality.

If you have 2 Simcard you have 2 allowances (if you pay both of them) however, you have to swap the sims or select which sim you will use to connect

We have a problem of clueless management, keep moving things around to improve productivity an end up causing a problem somewhere else, spending alot painting floors at the minute in rented building while in the process of building there own place

A painted floor gathers no moss. Or so a wise man once said. Or, well, something like that anyway

A big problem with society today is that less & less people take pride in their jobs & think that showing up to work is an accomplishment in itself. I do find that there's also an awful lot of fobbing "difficult" customers (i.e. those who ask questions) onto other Departments instead of listening & taking initiative to help & as for admitting responsibility for any mistakes I know this isn't always the case but it is prevalent in today's culture...

Op, these people will be the same "clueless" and entitled people in a few years time wondering how technology ever replaced them in their last job

Had a flight cancelled a few years back and was put up in a hotel for the night.

Next morning went down for brekkie and when I went back up to my room I couldn't get in.

Stormed off down to the reception, where a lovely lady calmly smiled and insisted my key card was working.

Went back up to the room only to realise I was trying to open a door on the wrong floor.

Moral of the story stupid customers aren't always right
