Is it a good metric for gauging if a person likes you? I find it far too ambiguous. A poke would be better and a like function.

If youve gotten a wink i would assume their interest is obvious? Same on the flip side, you would only send one if you like the look of a profile.

We prefer people that will start a conversation over people that just drop a wink (feels lazy) but as a way of knowing of someone is interested, i cant see anything wrong with it

Wink, poke or like? What would be the difference? Not sure many use the wink on here nevermind introducing a poke and a like button. Why not just say hi and introduce yourself.

Can't imagine being in a bar, seeing a woman I'm interested in and going over and just winking at her, giving her a thumbs up or poking her in the side

I rather send a message than just wink but if I receive a wink and I'm interested I'll reciprocate with a wink and a message...doesn't always lead to a message back but hey ho, nothing ventured nothing gained eh?

I'd rather if someone was interested to say it out. I know a wink can indicate it but I want it in writing haha I delete winks cause it means I have to text first when they've made the first move.

Well considering half of the messages been sent by guys is not read or opened before been deleted.

I have sent very polite messages to get a conversation started but never gets read before been deleted, so I decided it better to wink, if you are interested, wink back.

Then I follow up with messages. It's just a way to get an interest in someone.
