My best mate since a young age was super bike crazy,loved them,we constantly told him be careful we know u are skilled on your bike but the slightest thing that is not your fault comes about unexpectedly it could end badly,sure enough this morning 2 hours after we spoke a Jeep pulled out in front of him he came off the bike and was killed,

I’m absolutely fucken hearthbroken.

Fabbers what’s your opinions on motorbikes,my mate the risks but had a passion for bikes and racing bikes

Sorry for your loss.

There's always going to be accidents, you cannot foresee all the dangers, you do the best you can given time and experience.

If professionals like the Dunlops can lose it - anyone can.

They went doing what they love - there's some racing going on over the other side these days all with huge smiles on their faces.

Aye it's painful for those left behind.

I have a pal - who I was sure would end up gone 30 years ago for the love of Kwakkers - but I'm blessed that even though he raced [on tracks] he's still around now.

My Dad was bitten early on - I spent the first four years of my life riding with him on his Triumph Tigercub - I understand the addiction.

Yeah I understand his addiction too the way desribed racing bikes at speed ,the adrenaline rush n all that but it still doesn’t stop u from discouraging your friend to sle down be careful because we love him and don’t want to lose him u know

Sorry for your loss it hard when it’s close to home like that, I’ve lost a few friends over the years some their own fault and others because of someone else, I still couldn’t get rid off mine the support you get fro other bikers is terrific doesn’t matter who you are,

Firdtly sorry for ur loss , i personally kno hiw u feel as used to pit for an ex Scottish Road Racer killed at an international Road Racing event a few yrs ago now ....used to go to every road race i could even when i wasnt doing pit for the team but since have lost all heart and didnt go any racing at all until this yr at NW200.. i often had the chat with my mate before his fatal accident about the dangers etc but he simply replied 'well mate u kno the number of accidents on our roads with cars yet i dont hear anyone shouting to bann cars! .. its what i live i know the dangers and theres times i may see something going happen i can jump off the bike but a car mate ur strapped and closed in! '

Yes some on here may say that bikers at times are dangerous and yes i have to agree that SOME are wreckless and would be better on a track rather than an open public road but then theres people who have no consideration for bikers either! All 8m saying is if we all remember theres other road users msybe take that second look then maybe just maybe our roads would ve much safer for everyone!

Ride bikes since i was 15 so its 20 years now. Yes they are fast and dangerous but that's what make them so special and addictive.The thrill of fast ride is comparable to good sex to me.Awesome feeling, those who never experienced motorbike wont understand.
