Is it possible to just be a good sub in the bedroom but not outside?

Or does a "good sub" have to play that part in their daily life?

There's a reason a certain website has a box you tick called "just for the bedroom".

Many folks keep things strictly for the bedroom but that doesn't make what they are doing any less right than someone who lives it 24/7

As with anything there's no one true way. Indeed, I tend to run from anyone who insists there is as each relationship is different and so are the dynamics and agreements. That said, while 24/7 is not for me, in well established relationships there will generally be aspects of my earned submission/dominance that enter everyday life.

In my opinion sub/dom is in a way a blanket statement . Within that you you a have many roles and other subsequent labels none of which conform to any strict guidelines as such.

So yes it is possible

And no they most certainly do not .

What's more important here is that are you both happy in the way you are playing now. And to actually communicate with each other about what you each want and need and adjust accordingly

To answer your question OP, yes I do think it is possible to restrict the D/S dynamic to the bedroom.

However the D/S relationship involves such a huge degree of trust and engagement on a physical, emotional and psychological level, that it does inevitably extend beyond the bedroom (but with the right person only in a positive way).

Make sure you don't find a Mr. Grey wannabe. Way too many out there at the moment. I'm sure there is a website dedicated to the FETishLIFEstyle COMmunity but, don't rush into it take your time and go at a pace that you're comfortable with. Also never do anything you're unsure about.
