Glamworld cinema update

Following on from the Cinema Spy review of the Adult Cinemas, I had a very productive meeting with the management of Glamworld.

The good news is that the Glamworld cinema space, cubicles and glory holes are due to be fully refurbished at the end of August. This will result in improved comfort and play spaces.

Glam are also very interested in helping Fabber have the cinema experience they want, with that in mind,Glam are happy for FAB members only Cinema M&G nights to be held there, these would be Fab exclusive nights and as per a M&G would be by invite only. 

If people would like to hold their own private party cinema viewings, Glam are also happy to work with you.

Should you want to organise events in Glam, private message me & I will give you the Glam management, mobile phone contact details.

Changing Room- there are changing facilities available in Glam, they are in the main shop are, just ask the staff , should you want to change before you play. Access to the cinema from the changing room is via an internal stairs.

This is all very positive & I think it is a great addition to the scene.

I think the as promised re furbished Glanworld will be Glam ... once sorted we might look at a Fab Grand Opening Night..

Remember in the meantime it is still open & can be privately booked, so no mixing with the regulars.

Non point in changing anything in the sespit as the vast majority that go there are not swinger's but merely perverts and dirty old smelly men . as these are his bread line why make a silk purse from a sows ear. And OP what did you introduce yourself as to get a management level meeting ? Or was it just a natter with the guy in the shop ?

Venues like these will never work when they are male dominated and run by men geared words men ,if glamworld really wanted to make changes the first one should be to consult with a few women as to what they would like to/need too see in place to make this place active with both sexes which I assume was the initial desire when it launched.without women’s input it will sadly remain a place where men go and wank and only frequented rarely by a woman nuts enough to try it out in its current format.

p.s this place is ideally located slap bang in the middle of town and should be heaving with sexy people every night of the week . Just take a look at the amount of people advertising for “meet now” or looking for party invites on any given day , and ask yourself why haven’t they rocked up to glam paid a few quid entrance and enjoyed the debaunchery . .?

Why would they have to be male dominated? The club in cork works well, why shouldnt a night like that be run in glamworld?

Now saying that, i have never been in it if but i would think if its clean and done up after August i would imagine it would have potential especially if it was ran as a couples only event, i think that would work.

Well said. I went there a couple of times. While I find it clean it’s still a kip for men to wink off.

Maybe it will change. But I won’t hold my breath.

Ah give them a chance. They obviously want to get a better level of clientele into the place. Yes it’s got a lot of old men going in but they are on a street that commands high rents and they’ve got to pay the rent somehow. If they clean the place up a bit and make some changes, people will start using it a bit more.

I’ve been in on a number of occasions. Twice was just to the shop with a look around upstairs. Always found Liam helpful and interested in what fabbers think. Had one experience upstairs and it was good. Could be improved though. A cinema I’ve visited in Berlin has lockable rooms that have viewing windows. This works very well and a possible idea for Glam

Would be nice to get some info here as to what to expect on certain days.

I had a not so good experience a couple of weeks back.

Went in daytime kinda expecting to see a couple having sex or some female form.

I will agree the guy in the shop is helpful but it is totally geared towards gay men in my opinion.

There was a guy sitting on a chair watching the porn he may have been a bouncer or security I have no idea but he was giving off a vibe.

There was a guy going around naked from the waist down with a backpack on he looked like he had mental health issues really didnt look a well man. And a guy is a suit who I asked a few questions as to where was this where was that etc he was very helpful and I assumed he worked there. Not a woman in sight and I cant say I am surprised I doubt any lady would feel comfortable there.

I paid €15 in which is a bargain in my opinion and the porn was good even if the Tv's are tiny.

I decided to crack a quick one out and be on my way when the guy in the suit approached me. I thought he was going to offer tissues or something but instead he asked me if I wanted a blow job..... turns out he was not working there he is a gay guy hanging around the straight section offering blow jobs.

I think the management should offer more and charge more.

Even to get a stripper in on certain days or make certain days a couples day so it wont be so hit and miss.

As I said the guy in the shop is sound the place has potential but I doubt it will ever be a go to place for hetrosexual people.

I would consider myself mildly bi curious and would probably experiment with the right couple but Glamworld did nothing for me unfortunately.

Maybe I expected too much.

We have always wanted to check it out but negative comments always turned us off going.

We have been to similar venues abroad and the creepy older men with no respect always put us off there too, some private play areas would be good to escape too.

Some couples only or fab only nights would be definitely be great, looking forward to finally checking it out.

We're the same would have liked to go but the negative comments put us off...but we'll see if it changes to couples only nights or it being a fab type venue on certain nights

I wanted to open a space that would be a better version of Glamworld, similar to what we have in Maspalomas and destination of that sort. Unfortunately after a while I had to give up, I have a steady job and don't have time to take care of the place and there was no one available to partner up.

Plus renting a place in town for this sort of thing where we could have shower rooms and such is next to impossible, and the drinking licensing... jeez who knew that it was all that looking at the number of pubs around.
