Basic Instinct Cinema, Temple Bar, Dublin

I visited today at 4pm to check it out and see how it compared to Glamworld.

As reported the cinema is now open to all.

Opening hours are 10am-7pm, 7 days a week, so somewhat limiting. However by arrangement it can be hired for a private “function”. This might be worth considering if you want a cinema experience with friends.

The cinema is within the body of the shop, in the basement area.  The entry fee is 13 euro and is valid for the day.

There are 2 areas in the basement. 1 is a large room with 2 big bed like couches, and also a table to lean over!!. The couches/beds look like there is space for up to 4 to play on each bed. The TV’s in this area play adult porn.

the other area contains 10 cubicles/glory holes. The cubicles are quite big, with space for 2 in the cubicle, the adjacent glory hole area would also hold 2. So with enough people there could be some interesting “play” experiences. This area mainly plays Gay porn.

Over all the venue appeared clean and warm

The whole area is very dimly lit, it take a few minutes for your eyes to get use to the dark, a little more light would be nice. The TV screens are small. Limited seating/rest areas

Condoms or Lube are not supplied so you need to bring your own or purchase in the shop, clean up wipes/tissues are supplied.  Glam supplies condoms, lube and wipes for free in the cinema.

I would bring a towel if I was going to play on the couch.

There is only 1 toilet & no changing area, unless you used the toilet or one of the cubicles to change in, but to see what you are at you would need the light on your phone.

The clientele today at 4pm was 5 men, as with Glam I didn’t feel comfortable around them; staring & following me as I explored the area.

If I was a guy I would only be going to play with a friend, similarly a couple may like to bring a friend to act as “lookout” while they play and are watched by who ever is there. The clients did not look like the type to ask could they join in.

I think with a little encouragement the management could make this a great venue for the “Cinema experience” and a top spot for Fabbers to visit.

I went to visit this place today as was thinking of going with a female friend next week. Was extremely dark and hard to see. Within two minutes of being there I was groped about 5 times by various old men. I told them not so politely to fuck off. It’s so dark it’s impossible to see the exit and I had to use the torch from my phone to find the exit. Absolutely awful experience.

Yes its not great but hopefully the management are following the forum & will imorove things ... i might try post my review on Fabgays

That's a shame. It's experiences like this stop couples and single women from going. Under no circumstances is groping/touching without consent acceptable.

That’s nasty but they must have liked what they seen

Always wondered about those places well placed fist in a face if anyone touched me without asking, sexual harassment!!!
