Bike Gear

So who's a biker on here? See so many out in the sun in shorts or polo shirts on bikes. A fall could tear them to shreds. Safety first surely?!

Biker here and i am guilty of the above! While I know the dangers , it does slow me down which is a good thing !

I’m kinda guilty of this myself. I will put on the gear if I’m on a proper spin, but in this heat, if I’m only spinning a mile or two across town, I might go just in a tshirt and jeans. I do know the dangers though and it does slow me down. I often see lads in shorts to. I wouldn’t risk that on my bike. The legs would be burned off of ya

I came off a bike years ago wearing only jeans and t shirt, the jeans were shredded from hip to knee but luckily not to much skin lost ! Lesson learned after that one I can assure you !

Seen a few lads going home from the racing in Enniskillen on Saturday, boots jackets gloves helmet an shorts couldn’t believe them, you can get light summer jackets with lots of vents an not very expensive

At the gear all the time for me! Seeing bikers out in shorts always makes me cringe a bit, wouldn’t take a high speed to cause a big problem I’d you came a cropper!
