Does such a thing exist? For me, this is the unicorn, but pretty much every woman i've met that claims to be submissive is really just a play submissive, they enjoy dom/sub play but then revert to normality. My question is, do true submissives actually exist or is it just not sustainably in everyday life?

Yes they very much exist. True ones are rare but they exist.

I dont think you need to have been a sub to truely understand how a submissive mind works, ive always been dominant and i like to think ive always treated the submissive in my care with respect. A real Dom/Domme understands that a submissive is something to be cherished and valued

Also a true D/S relationship is equal like any other relationship should be. You will find abusive relationships in all walks of life, if one is found in a D/S relationship it's automatically stereotyped as what a D/S relationship is like. This is furthest from the truth. If that makes sense..

I think thsts a bit of a generalisation, there are many excellent dom/dommes who've never been submissive. Empathy is the real requirement

Im a switch, have been in a D/s relationship being the sub, I was owned. Unfortunately the relationship didn't last but that's how things role sometimes. Every relationship is unique, each person brings their own individuality and experience. Empathy is important to any relationship from both sides for it to work well. Communication is also crucial, especially in a D/s one. I agree with big blonde domme. Having been a sub and being a switch I understand ,from my own perspective, what I look for when I'm domming.

Been a true submissive is not about dropping everything for for man as a true dom respects life and play boundaries.

In play one can be truly submissive, let go and just allow him to take control of your body and mind.

In real life there's jobs, family and friends as well as homes to run and bills to pay. The real life me and sub me are two very very different people

Im not disagreeing with you, what you're saying is true from your perspective. But you cant say that the same understanding cant be achieved by a D/S couple who have a deep ubderstanding of eachother and can communicate their needs and desires

There are true submissives as there are true dominants who truly respect and care for their submissive. Real life does cause obstacles at times meaning 24/7 maybe practically difficult but in the right relationship, can make it work. Lilred

Is that not more a master/slave relationship than Dom/sub. I am sub and am not 'broken' and I would think a Dom that demands sub to only eat 3 peas is not a 'true' dominant but a 'bully'. I am a sub and have as much control in the relationship as my master. A true D/s relationship is satisying and respectful

If you are lucky enough to meet a true Dom/Domme you will know it. They respect your boundaries and know exactly how far they can push you. For me it's the mental stimulation/torture is more than half the battle. That alone coz push me over the edge. I become totally submissive with the right person. Then you come across the wannabes who think they know everything and you never feel fully under their spell
