Reasons not to accommodate?

Thought I'd post this question following on from a post I put on another thread. I'll give a little more info here.

I had a meet cancelled because she thought I was married due to the fact that I couldn't accomodate. Is it unreasonable for a single guy to not want to invite a stranger into their home?

I had a woman I had met a few times off another site come to my place of work asking for me. She didn't "out me" but I never told her where I worked. Don't know how she figured it out. So yes, I am nervous about inviting people to mine. I'm not here for one off meets, so if I meet someone and i feel I can trust them, then of course I would accommodate.

Is this unreasonable?

Damn right it is!

Psychos, crazies, stage 5 clingers and creep stalker types have needs too and you're clearly excluding them. I thought Monaghan people were supposed to be warm and accommodating...?

OK - What you are doing is entirely reasonable, but covering it off with a better story is probably the only point open to debate. Its not like you can say: 'I don't want to take a chance that you're some kind of looney bin' so having a cover story for that first meet might be the more diplomatic way out. And make it clear quickly, not leave it as a last minute surprise..

No it's not unreasonable, there's a female profile on here that say "Hotel meets only! Due to my position at the moment I cannot pay anything towards a hotel room" I think that's unreasonable when it comes to meeting someone haha

It sounds like she was so desperate to find you.

I have no idea why she behaved like this but it is inappropriate. Our private life isn't anyone business. The same it is not our business what the people we meet do and where work. If we meet someone on the street or in the shop just smile and move on...

We don't accommodate, we could, but we don't want to.

You don't have to justify your decision not to bring strangers to your home or let them know exactly where you live.

You were not unreasonable at all. Why is it men are thought of differently when it comes to anything with their site! That’s you personal space. It is up to you when you chose to invite someone to your home.

I myself have kids and I live at home. I don’t ever accommodate. Even if I was living alone I still wouldn’t!

Well in your tights to say no to it. If a woman can’t accept that tell her where to go

Im a seperated dad, well when I say that I never married,im not a millionaire, pay maintenance, car on the road Bill's etc,I rent a very small place I would be ashamed and feel awful bringing a girl back to mine, would much prefer to get a hotel,I have been in a position kind of like yours I once brought a girl back and not from fab,but she turned up at home and where I worked as well.

Im sharing house so I never bring anyone back to mine!

Plus you never know who you invite to home..experience shows that a lot nice people can turn nasty and dangerous ones...

Hotel always is best place to do meet!

Do you not bring a meet to yours ever. We are new to fab and had a meet back to ours but they didn't stay. Is it a bad idea to do that do you think? We thought it was no big deal

I've met a good few of my meets at their place, even first time meets. I prefer private accommodation over hotels especially when I get a home cooked three course dinner Although I know where my darlings live I'd never turn up there uninvited. Finally if someone tells me that he won't accommodate even without giving a reason I would fully accept that.

Haha don't want to exclude the crazies.

I don't think people need a "story". Anyone I've spoken to that cant accommodate, I'd actually think it rude of Me to ask them why not. Might as well ask them why they don't do hotel meets or why they don't meet during the week. If it's on their profile take it or leave it.

Not sure what you gain to achieve with the post. We all have our own choices and it's got little if anything to do with anyone on here.

I may be mistaken but you sound very disappointed and maybe struggling with your own decision.

I guess though every female hon here now knows you can accommodate when you choose to. Happy fabbing.

What do I hope to achieve? It's a forum. You post topics to get people's opinions. I posted a topic and indeed did get people's opinions. Goal achieved.

Disappointed and struggling? Ehhhhh no. Think you might be reading a bit too deep. I'm happy as fuck on here

Much has been written about hotel v can.accomodate

Fab is an alternate part of your life ... meeting in a hotel is accomodatenearly an extension of this ...

A hotel meet is erotic, intriguing, bold ... inside the hotel room you both can be your Fab self, that different you, the you that is looking to explore ... in that room it does not matter if you are married, single, bi curious, tv/ts ... this is a non judgemental meeting with a like minded person ... for a few hours normal life stands still ... that in its self is part of the buzz.

You meet in the bar, have a drink, but the sexual tension is electric ... in the lift you cant keep your hands of each other ... the room door closes & the clothes are off ... game on

When has sex at home been like

Unfortunately the words can't accom and discretion a must are very often the hints for the forgetful married single guy or girl and a lot of folks don't want to go there unfortunately this catches the genuine 1s as well
