Is it just me or does there seem to be a lot more homophobic biggots on the site.

I'm a straight man or as the cool kids say now CIS gendered male.

But I've read a few treads here today from people that have received hate mail from people over their gender preference / sexual orientation.

Do people not realize that this site is for everyone no matter what your preference?

A person's gender or sexual orientation does not define a person. It doesn't make them a bad person what makes you a bad person is judging someone based on this.

A lot of these closed minded people it seems like aren't comfortable in their own skin. Or perhaps maybe it turns them on and they are afraid to admit it so they lash out at the object of their secret desires.

If you don't like someone based on their sexual orientation or preference. The real question is. Why were you on their profile?

Completely agree.

I've had plenty of responses with "don't meet bi men" which I have absolutely no problem with.

The one I have a problem with are the people who have to add in "its disgusting" after. I've had 2 couples do this recently.

I've been here a good few years.

Firstly as a single male.

Then for 2 years as a couple.

It's only recently I've had this type of crap in replys.

I get lots of mails from guys.

I just decline their offer and move on some I'll and up chatting to and having a good laugh with. I've introduced this site to a few of my gay friends over the years because of its open minded nature, but it seems that of late a lot more closed minded people have surfaced.

I actually find the ones that mail me that have straight listed on their profile get more agressive when you decline their offer to let them suck me off.

Some people really need to take a good look at themselves before judging others.

I've honestly never had an aggressive mail. I had a couple text me giving out about a comment I made on a forum about the ulster rugby players trial but it was fair and I see their reasons. When I've turned down gay men they have never been nasty. Two were persistent to the point they'd message "hey" every few days so were blocked. I'm not denying nastiness isn't a problem here though. It definitely is for women and gay people and even popular people. People with a few meets get slut shamed etc... It's jealous and insecurity driving these people.

I agree it must be jealously and insecurities. I've only had a few and I've only blocked two people on here one guy who wouldn't stop mailing every 10 minutes and a stalker (long story) but I find the cast majority that I have interacted with lovely people.

As a bi guy I can honestly say I've never received any sort pf homophobic crap in here. However even if I did it woukd be water of a ducks arse. This country immersed itself in that kind of attitude for hundreds of years...we've moved on. If people love the 1950's that much.. let them stay there.

middle of nowhere

Nope OP it's not just you. It's happening a lot lately. Just when you think attitudes are changing you see and hear about the nasty vile messages some people get. What amazes me is the age range these people are . Just remember guys if you have young children or thinking of having children ....you never know how things pan out. If it happens again out them in your status bar. Just sayin.

Great thread OP.

The world is full of people whose only way of dealing with their own pain is to try to deflect it onto others. Take nothing personally, it's about them, not you.

There are complete double-standards because women are nearly expected to be bi on Fab. Or certainly have no problem with having bi in their profile.

I bet a lot of these homophobic watch lesbian porn.

There really is a double standard on here but again that is people own preference. I have many bi,gay, and straight friends. I can't believe in this day and age we as a community on here are still seeing so much of it.

For a lot of people I know they feel they still have to hide who they are and sites like this can be the only way they feel like they can express themselves. Everyone has a right to be who they are and express themselves. No one has the right to tell them they can't.
