It's understandable that someone want a face pic with first message but I would like to chat first then see how that goes

So why waste anyones time, better to pull that plaster off fast, rather than get along well with them and then have them tell you that you're too ugly.

Wouldn't be looking for a face pic straight off and always feel awkward if they send one... Like I have to send one back straight away... And I don't like scaring them away that early in the conversation

I don't ask for them, don't send them generally and I definitely don't cave to the pressure of being sent one. I would never send one out in a first message, I don't care what you look like, if you can't string a decent conversation together, it's not going to go any further for me.

If we've exchanged a few mails and they seem decent we'll ask to see face and send one back, don't expect face pics on first message we receive but it does help with those that have no photos at all on their profiles.

I am not interested in collecting pics of people from 5 years ago when they looked best in their life during an amazing holiday when they actually managed to build this awesome tan.

Prefer cam. It helps to separate pic collectors from people actually interested in fun.

We generally ask for a face pic if we receive the first initial message and a conversation gets going. If we send a message (first contact)then we would send a pic first if asked. We feel this is as fair as we can be according to our own personal preference.

I rarely send a face pic because cameras do me no justice. I've been told I look alot different in person than I do in the pic in a good way. N I'd only send a face pic after a good long chat. And the person or people seem genuine to me.

Chat first and face pic after if they are interested and also genuine. Understand that women get a pile of messages so can appreciate that some want face pics first.
